First, never buy "the cheapest" of anything especially something as safety-critical as a battery charger!
That said, I would recommend the Nitecore Intellicharger (either the i2 or i4). Either will cost you less than one of your batteries and they're one of the best (especially for the price) on the market. They detect and vary the output according to battery type and condition. Never too fast (harmful to batts) nor too slow.

Overnight/unattended charging may possibly be safe but is really not recommended by anyone on here nor manufacturers of batteries or chargers. If you must, I would get a fireproof charge bag (about $6) and maybe even place the charger in the oven. One last thing that I would absolutely recommend is a timer (like you use for Christmas lights or when out of town on interior lamps), set it for 30 mins longer than you observe a full charge to take and plug your charger into it.

Nitecore I2. Might be a few bucks over your budget, I think they run right around $15. Works well for me. I use it to charge my VTC5. It will probably take about 6 hours to charge your VTC5s. Lucky they last a long time, so you can have one charging while using the other.

Awsome that sounds good thanks

You're most welcome! You'll love the i2. Read up on it...great piece of equipment...not just straight voltage. Known for being regulated and not overcharging/killing batteries by overheating!
IF you're still wanting to charge overnight (unattended) please at least get a couple of these
Amazon.com: Free US Ship Lipo Battery Fireproof Bag Storage Bag Lipo Battery Guard Safe Bag Fiber Material for Charge & Storage 30x23cm: Toys & Games

Here's a video of a Li-Po failure/venting in one as a test. It's a. Bit of a different battery than we use, but you'll get the point

Respect the batts!

Don't get me wrong.

I'm all for Saving money. And if you are like me, there Isn't an Unlimited Budget for everything.

But there are some things that I don't think a person should Cheap-Out on. And a Battery Charger that you will use Everyday of your life is one of them.

I'd rather see someone go out to the Movies or Dinner one less time in a month and buy a Better Charger. Than to see someone search High and Low to find an 8 Dollar Charger for 6 Bucks.

BTW - I don't own one of these...

... but the Reviews look Pretty Good. And I like the Digital Display.

I also have a LUC and is is a good charger. I don't know if the display is helpful or not but it is nice when I pop a battery in it that I can see what voltage it is at without using my multi meter.

It kind of verifies if my instinct was right when I pull a battery out of my mech.

I did/do use a meter to check if I am using a new/unfamiliar build but once I get the feel for a particular set up, i find my feel for a battery that needs changing is pretty good.

The LUC is kind of expensive for what it is however (seems to go for $30+ online). If I hadn't got a great deal on mine, I would have bought the VP1.

I used the Xtar WP2II for the longest time. It's a good charger but I recently moved onto the Nitecore i2. I would recommend either one easy for a simple charger. If you want something different both brands have many other great chargers.

Yeah im looking around im probally going to get the I2 thanks for the suggestions
