I use the extended version of my Provari Mini and have to change my 18500 batteries atleast twice a day maybe even three times. I do chain vape. My batteries are not that old, there not even a month.

What are the best batteries to use? I want to be able to go the whole day with only changing the battery once.

Thanks.

You're using an 18500 battery in a Provari? Must not be an AW, 'cause AW only makes the 18490.

You didn't see the four (4) recommendations on the Provape website to use ONLY AW IMR batteries in the Provari?

They make protected 500's (which shouldn't be used either). Of the 500's I can think of they are typically less mAh with a worse discharge curve than the 490's anyways. I'm a fairly heavy vaper & the red AW 490's last me about 12 hours. I do vape at relatively low power (< 8w) though.

So what's the highest mAh anyone's been able to find in the AW IMRs, in 18650, 18490, or 18350?

The authentic's only come in 4 flavors. 700mAh for the 350's, 1100mAh for the 490's & either 1600mAh or 2000mAh for the 650's. Of the 2 650's, the 1600mAh has a better discharge curve than the 2000mAh variety.

I see that there are some new ones on the market (800, 1200 & a 2200) with a black end on them. Don't know anything about them or if they are indeed authentic. RTD is carrying them, so they should be real, but there was another reputable vendor unknowingly selling fake Sony's not that long ago. If they are real, I'd be curious to see the discharge curves on them. mAh by itself is a pretty useless stat.

I've had really good success with Purple Efast 18500 button top. One battery I can run for a day.

The Purple Efest are good batteries. I use the 18350 in my ProVari P3 and it works great. For some reason these worked better than the AW IMR on the P3's IQ meter (battery meter). Pro Vape currently recommends the AW batteries for their units. Not sure if they will recommend the same batteries when the P3 is released. Since it's adjustable wattage.
