after trying an rba at a local store, ive become more intrigued with these things. unfortunately for a newbie, i have found this world extremely hard to do research on, with so many available.

so, what would be a few good ones that are easy to use for a beginner to rebuilding?
what are good vendors to find these?
and the big question, what supplies am i going to need to rebuild?

Many are very happy with the AGA-Ts and the Smoktech RSST. They are both under $30, I'm not sure who has the RSST in stock right now it's pretty new and folks seem to be snapping them up fast. Here is a link to the AGA-T AGA-T+ Genesis R/A (AGA-T2)

You will also need wick, coil wire, and a way to oxidize your mesh wick, I use a Bic lighter. For coil wire it depends on what you are going to use the RBA on, if you are going to use it on a Vamo, Z-max type device 30 to 32ga wire would be best if you are going to use it on something like a Bolt or Natural 28 to 30ga wire would be better. Stormy's has a good selection of wick and coil wire here Rebuildable Atomizer (RA) Accessories

This is a good video with a few different methods of wick and coil building A PBusardo Review - The AGA-T(s) - Part 2 - Assembly & Building Tutorial - YouTube

with a tank preferably, i have grown a hatred for dripping

i would go for an aga + sold by many vendors anywhere from 25-30 bucks. i got mine from DiscountVapers - Your source for savings on electronic cigarettes and accessories, Go-go eGo, vGo cuz they come with a spare glass tank. it comes with everything you need. however i would buy some extra wire from temco on ebay. depending on what you are going to use it with. for a var voltage i would get 30awg kanthal a1 $2.50 for 25 feet is plenty, if you have a mechanical (recommend for best performance) then i would get 28awg kanthal a1 about the same price for 25 feet. extra mesh i get from www.delawarevapors.com 6"x8" sheet is only $6.

watch plenty of youtube videos on how to oxidize the wick. there are plenty videos out there. i like watching junkyrock13. also pbusardo just uploaded a 2 part video on setting up the aga t+ which is very good.

check my video for performance on a mechanical which can not be achieved with a vari volt or vari watt device. i hope this helps you out. don't be discouraged with rba's but there is a learning curve. when i shot this video i only had the aga t+ for a few days. my first rba and i love it!

right now i have an evic as my go to device

I would stick to 30 or 32ga wire then. I would say don't buy too much either as the coils last a long time, I've had them go for 2 almost 3 months. I also made the mistake of buying a 100ft roll of 32ga and have now found I prefer 28 and 30.

You can make twisted wire from that 32 gauge and it will turn out close to 30 gauge. I twist my 30 gauge and it ohms out similar to 28. Just a thought to use up some of that wire.

I remember seeing a lot of RBA's like that at one point they work great but i'd have to recommend the AGA-T+ (Don't even own one but it costs 25$ and i've heard its as good as my 150$ cobra RBA...) just if you want something more permanent, ie stainless steel and glass. But the community should agree the differences between most RBA's arent that vast aside from two completely different types like a Dripping RDA and Genesis Style

I use 3mm or 2.5 Silica for dripping RDA's and btw youd be amazed how much longer you go in between drips when the atomizer isnt disposable.. a good silica dual coil setup holds a ton internally before it dries up. an example of a dripper- IGO-S Rebuildable Atomizer

I like 32 gauge kanthal but always keep 36 in small amount in case i need high ohms. I would prefer to by some 30 in the future. Great place to buy Kanthal , Silica, or SS mesh- Oklahoma City e-cigs, e-liquids and accessories.

SS wick is whats used in anything called a genesis RBA, there are many different ways to make a wick and honestly i'm still a noob compared to someone like pdib on here. I just read that rolling several different thin wicks together tied very tightly into one big wick apparently works amazing.. so much to learn- http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/rebuildable-atomizer-systems/398282-victory-over-aga-t.html

Thanks for the info, folks. I am quite interested in using a RBA on my provari mini.

I use a 50/50 juice combination. So, when it comes to the SS mesh, what should I use?

this is the final bit of info we need before making our purchase. whenever i look i see tons of different types. i tice they all have numbers in front of them. what would work best for 50/50 juice on an evic or other regulated device
