Best bet for the charger? Buy with the provari from provape, or shop around

So is it best to just get all of the batteries and charger from ProVape when I order my provari?

I am sold on the purchase, but I am wondering if it makes sense to split up the purchase.

It is less a cost issue, and more about me wanting to get the best charger possible.

Thanks!

You have to buy at least one battery with your provari so you can try it right away :D But I like the Xtar VP1 charger... the Pila that provape sells is one of the best also but you need spacers for the 18350 batteries and don't with the Xtar.

This is a great site to purchase AW batteries and the chargers. :)

Congratulations on choosing the path to enlightenment.

The consensus is that the chargers on the ProVape site aren't the greatest. I believe Pila, Xtar and NiteCore are what most of us have. RTD Vapor appears to be the favorite battery vendor of the ProVarinati.

Are you getting a mini? Full size? What color combo?

ETA: I type slow.

FWIW I got the starter kit which included the charger, figuring I could upgrade it later. By parting out the order I could save a little bit of money, but the shipping costs made up for that in a big hurry. Plus with my luck the Blessed would show up a day or three before the batteries/charger & I'd be forced to make small children cry.

Okay, batteries are chargers are covered. Other recommendations:

IBTanked: IBTanked - Get Tanked With Us!

If you get a 22mm tank, a ring will make it flush with the ProVari body. There are different types, but the Loki ring is popular: ProVari Pro-Ring | Loki Lab

A 19mm tank is even with the tapered part of the top cap.

Serenity Gear (You have to keep checking the site. He isn't taking custom orders and available stock changes. It's very low right now.): SerenityGear Leather - Home

Small children? I'd wager the tears would be yours...

Xtar VP1. I've recently tossed 2 dead Pila's out and replaced with XP1. Love 'em and they will soon replace all my Pila chargers.
SOC readout, adjustable charge rate, no spacers to fuss with and includes a 12v car adapter all for le$$ than Pila.
As far as AW IMR, just get 'em from Provape, their fresh and no fear of counterfeit.

How old were the pila's that you tossed?

FWIW, I have two of the tenergy charges like you get in the start kit.
Cheap-Yes
Is there better-Yes
Do they work-Yes
Will they die at some point like the rest of electronics-yes
Do they server my purpose-Yes

Rob

Can't argue with that.
However I do recommend getting a charger with a digital readout. That immediately tells you something about the condition of your battery. If a battery is below 3.0 volts when put it on the charger or doesn't charge to 4.2 volts there's a problem with the battery.

Both 12>18 months old, one was a home base and the other was at work. I only use AW IMR and recharge frequently. Both died in the same way with one channel that would intermittently flash red, then just stay red and not actually charge. For a short time I could reboot the unit and restore function, but they soon both had a dead channel. Pila's 1 year warranty is only valid if you use their batteries, besides not worth the hassle as the VP1 is a superior unit IMO.
