best bottom coil?

I have a protank 2 on a provari I loved it at first but now it's really pissing me off. It floods almost constantly I know if I fill it up more it usually helps but sometimes it still floods. I've tried adding up to 2 extra flavor wicks for a total of 4 but it will either flood or give dry his. I've tried cotton wick still floods. The only thing that works for me is to buy a new coil, the coil I have now it's 1 day old and already flooding. I'm sick of this tank, is there a better bottom coil around? I don't want to get into rebuilding at the moment and I don't like the twist and twirl of top coils any suggestions on a bottom coil that won't food constantly?

No flooding issues?

Neither the wife nor I have had any flooding or problems with them. Some people have reported this issue though. Honestly I think it might have to do with how much suction you use. My wife originally had MAJOR issues with EVODs flooding. I finally got her to realize that sucking too hard was part of the problem, then I started replacing the factory "flavor wicks" with some boiled 100% cotton yarn and that fixed the rest of the issue for her on EVODs. She has not had that problem on ARO's with factory coils.

As always YMMV.

I'm going to look into them. I've tried adding cotton yarn but that hasn't helped. I've tried hitting it harder and also barely pulling neither worked, I've tried turning my voltage up and nothing. I'm starting to think I got a bad protank went to the vape store today to browse and the guy said that he never floods his. He blew threw it to clear it out and put it back together and it flooded instantly. I've got some 60vg/40pg waiting for me at the store so I'm hoping some thicker juice will help until I get a rsst

I could be from an Evod also.. but I am talking about the cap... it seems that it has like a center rubber that at somepoint it gets detacched from the rest of the cap and makes the protank leaks.

With another protank post? Or an evod, t3 etc? I've used t3 coils and it still happened. I'm planning on getting into rebuildables since this issue is bothering me so much

When you say "floods" do you mean "leaks" (like on to the mod pin) or do you mean the wick floods (e.g. gurgles) and you can't get a hit? Or both?

I have a PT2 and started using Aro heads in them instead of the Kangers (thanks again to ScottP for suggesting I try this). The Aro head hits great -- much better imo than Kangers with much more flavor - but they do tend to leak a touch on to the mod pin in my experience. (Even when used in the Aro tanks.)

After using the Aro head in the PT2 for a few days, I tried a brand new Kanger head again, thinking maybe I had been in a mood and the Kanger was just as good. NOPE! Aro head hits MUCH better with so much more flavor. I just wish I could stop the leakage, though it isn't too bad. I might be the only one with this problem since I started a thread to see of anyone else had it, and no one responded.

Anyway, you can pick up an Aro head from Discount Vapors for $1.49 if you want to try it. Or just get an Aro tank for $7.99 and swap the head that comes with it into the PT2 to see what you think. The Aro tanks are great too. (FTR Kanger heads don't fit into Aro tanks, and they say Aro heads won't work in PT2's but they do, and in EVODs too, apparently.)

When you say you replaced the flavor wicks with cotton, do you mean you left the stock silica wick in place and replaced ONLY the FWs? (Because I might try that on my Aro heads to see if it stops the seeping.) You don't get seeping on your Aro's I take it?

For the EVODs that is exactly what I do. I remove only the flavor wicks and add in the cotton yarn, leaving the stock coiled wick in place. When the factory coil finally goes bad, I then rebuild the whole thing using ONLY the cotton yarn with no flavor wicks. That is the cool thing about the cotton yarn, it expands to exactly fill the space it needs to, which is why it works in both cases.

For the AROs we are both still using our ORIGINAL unmodified head with zero issues. So I cannot say what the next head will be like but the original has been perfect.

I've been really happy with EVODs (FT clones). No leaking (well, one did leak, but it was due to a faulty head - cheap to replace), great flavour and vapour production, plus it looks fantastic on my SVD :) I really wanna try the pyrex AROs but haven't found ones to order from a place where the postage wouldn't be too much (don't want to order 10+, just in case I don't like them, and the postage shouldn't be more than the clearo itself).

I get mine from Discount Vapers. $7.99 US each. I have no idea what international shipping is on them though.

Blue - Smoktech ARO Pyrex Glass BCC - Blue
Magenta - Smoktech ARO Pyrex Glass BCC - Magenta
Red - Smoktech ARO Pyrex Glass BCC - Red
Stainless - Smoktech ARO Pyrex Glass BCC - Stainless
Black - Smoktech ARO Pyrex Glass BCC - Black

EDIT: I just found another site selling then for only $4.95. Again no idea on international shipping.

I use the ARO Pyrex too I highly recommend it. I've not ever tried an Evod or PT though. I went straight from CE4/5 my first couple weeks of vaping to the ARO after seeing them on Madvapes about 7 weeks ago and reading all the stellar reviews on them. Mine have worked pretty much flawlessly so I haven't even wanted to try anything else. I got 6 weeks out of the first head before it started to get less vapor from getting gunked up. I just finally got some more AROs so I don't have to go through 3.5ml of the same flavor all day. New ones are performing every bit as well as the first so far. Discount Vapors now has 5-packs of heads for 6.99 so that's only $1.40 each.

rounding third and heading home...
I just ordered the aspire DUAL bottom coil (from nhaler) and if pbusardo's review means anything this is the game changer in clearos. yes it doesn't have the most stylish look but in the things that count like flavor, vapor, TH, and consistency it seems to be a winner. I am sure the styling and other things(glass tanks ,etc) will follow shortly. can't wait to give it a vape.......

I saw those when I went to get my Aros but they were on pre-order (backordered). So went to DV and ordered. Then last week I went back and they had them in stock and I almost got a couple more just b/c they are so cheap and I like them so much, but instead bookmarked it for later. :D I did notice the base is polished chrome on these, whereas the ones I got from DV have SS-looking (unpolished steel anyway), knurled bases. Both have the Aro logo on the base. I know you also got yours from DV... do you have the SS knurled base?

Mine from Madvapes have the knurled base and I'm 99% sure they are the exact same as the ones at DV. I noticed the ones for $4.95 at that other site have a black tip on them. I believe those are cheaper because those are the non-Pyrex version.

update- I just checked madvapes since they carry both types of the ARO and those other are the plastic tank type.

I think I will have to give the ARO a whirl one of these days as I am seeing multiple people mentioning liking them.
