I just got an rdna30, and am very impressed with this device. However, I also bought a new authentic russian 91, and I'm not at all impressed with the flavor I'm getting. Which coil setup can I do to make the flavor the best it can possibly be? I have 26 and 28 gauge kanthal, and organic cotton.

if your new to rebuilding then the best flavour will come from the coil you can build neatest and wick the best, 26g is easier to work with a go for even spacing or perfect contact coils.
Is there a certain ohms I should be shooting for, for flavor? Are microcoils or spacing between coils better?
I prefer contact coils myself, but they have to be perfect for good flavour. I you struggle then try even spacing
7-8 wraps around 2.4mm in 28gauge for 1ohm or the same with the 26g would get about 0.7ohm should give good range on a dna30.

I am just starting out in building my own coils. I have a Magma, single coil build, and using 28 gauge kanthal.I have KGD Cotton and also a jig to help wrap my coils. I do between 5-6 coils using about a 3mm diameter. Typically gets me around 1.2 ohm, which works well for me and delivers great flavor on the Magma. I have tried smaller diameters but they just don't seem to work well for me -- harder to feed the cotton thru and I seem to get more dry hits.
