Wondering what atty you've found to be the best for sampling small batches of DIY juices. I use an eGo Twist & Stardust for general vaping but I want to find a dripping atomizer that is really effective for testing out tiny batches of juice.

Ideally I'd like to have a dozen atomizers on hand that I can drip just enough juice to test a 1ml sample, then make some corrections to the juice, put on a fresh clean atty and retest, and so on.

When I'm all done with my testing I want to be able to easily clean the atty's so they are good to go for the next batch tests.

My batch tests are just 1ml each; I use a 0.3cc syringe to make them so there is no waste and I can move along quickly. I tried using the ego-C tanks but they were messy (leaked) and the atty's for the ego C (both the regular & LR) dont really produce good quality vapor (IMHO), and they don't impart a clean neutral taste.

So, I want to find the best dripping atty out that is compatible with eGo batteries and will perform well and be easy to clean and reuse, and be reasonably priced, and be reliably made.

again, i'm no atty expert -- but I'm not sure that LR or SR makes a huge difference in the amount of vapor produced -- that's more a function of the % of VG in the juice. If I were using an ego, I'd go for the LR atties -- and use the SR on higher voltage devices. :2c:

But hopefully someone more experienced with atties will pop in with better advice :)

Hey thanks jbmcdan, Googling brought me lots of really positive reviews about that Smart Vapes dripping atomizer. It was designed specifically for dripping and the details about the design don't just sound like marketing hype since they address the exact issues I was having with the joyetech ego-c attys...and they are reasonably priced. Really appreciate the lead!

Thanks SalemGold & jbmcdan. Curious if you use LR or regular ones? When I was unhappy with regular atty for the eGO-C I ordered LR versions assuming more vapor from them, and didn't really notice any difference at all. Would appreciate hearing your thoughts on this.
Thanks

I actually like the LR306s (East Mall or Joye) best for the best flavor. But, I have heard that they will greatly reduce your battery life using an Ego so that is why I did not suggest them.

ETA- a 306 is different from any other atty. They are not in a metal tube like most. It is just an atty and wick sitting on a base. You do have to have a 306 drip tip to use them.

Thanks SalemGold, I was all set to order the Smart Vapes LR atomizer but (of course) they are out of them, so maybe I'll go with the ones you suggested. Can you confirm that a 306 will work with an eGo? I looked through the forum and it sounds like anything that is 306 will fit something made for 510, and it seems some people say a 306 is even superior to a 510, but I thought those numbers had to do with threading so it makes me wonder if it will fit correctly??

Yes, they work with an Ego. I noticed that they say in the description good for 3.7V devices :)

If you want to stay inexpensive, Value Vapor has a Smok Tech 2.0 ohm 306 that I have not tried but it is only $4.99. They have good prices on attys :)

My friend just ordered one last night but I have not tried them here

Thanks SalemGold, I'll check those too. FWIW, I have mixed feelings about SmokTech. I have been buying their single coil LR1.7 cartomizers and they are simply incredible ... when they work :(

It seems that 2 out of every 10 carts have some sort of problem every time I get a shipment, like the tube separating from the base or being DOA, or a really foul smell that just won't go away.

I'm sorry to say that I think they have a real Quality Control problem. It's a shame because the design is really quite amazing...putting out a huge amount of vapor compared to a regular ego-C LR atomizer. When used on a 3.7 battery I dont think anything else comes close, but only getting 8 good ones when you pay for 10 doesn't make me too happy, not to mention the wasted juice since you only find out they are defective after you load them.

Anyway, just thought I'd share that, and again, thanks for taking the time to share your experiences!

That is odd. I have truly been through about 200 of their 2.0 ohm DCCs and DH has been through at least 50 of the Epower DCCs. DH has had 1 dud and I am yet to have a single one. With that being said, the last time that I bought them (buy in bulk) was about 6 months ago so something may have changed there.

I am happy with the EM 306s and since I only use them to test flavors, I don't go through very many. They last me a long time :) Good luck to you.

<-- doesn't care for LR atomizers for sampling flavors ;)

As you said everyone's taste is different but I use a debridged 306 atty on my KGO batteries for sampling DIY mixes. The reason I like a debridged atty is that I can drip just one drop on the coil and vape the atty dry in about four hits, then make my adjustment and try again without cleaning the atty.

Since I debridge them a LR atty can go from great taste to horrendous taste in about one hit, so I prefer SR attys for sampling flavors.

But - as always, YMMV ;)
