Although the eGo and Riva are good "beginner" PV's, I think there are many better options for someone who "chain" vapes like yourself..

I'm going to lightly disagree with you wv2win. The main factor for chain vapors is wattage. With the new Special Edition Rivas that run 3.7v underload and the LR attys either 1.5 or 1.7 (tank attys) you're vaping at above 8 Watts and with the 1.5Ω atty above 9. While you can get that with 5 and 6 volt mods too you have to use higher resistance attys to keep from burning them out. For the price and availability - the Riva/eGo is more than just a 'beginner's kit'. Many vets are hooked on them after going through many different mods - me included :) With the eGo-t tanks that hold 1.5ml (and soon 2.5ml) it's an excellent choice for almost anyone.

I thank all of you for your very quick and enlightening replies. I think I'm gonna try the Riva E go I think it's called before I get into buttons and such. I have all the juice i need for now. Always get the same thing. I'm really going to try to not up my vapor any more than I need as I'm not really trying to put more in my lungs than i need since I smoked for so long. If I can't make do with this 1 than I might have to mod up. Thx, steph

I regularly suggest Riva's and eGo's. I'm just not a fan of low resistence attys which are necessary to get somewhat close to the same inhaled feel of a good 5 volt or variable PV. I just never found that they held up as well. Plus you pretty much have to be dedicated to 510's for the biggest selection. Not that I am against that option as it may be all the OP needs. Now that I use a variable volt PV, I can't imagine going back to any fixed volt PV, even a 5 volt one. The flexibility to go along with the consistency and throat hit just can't be matched IMO.

Another probably stupid question but why do some have buttons? Do they like shoot the vapor that way?

A button = manual battery. They give you better control, more warmth and a little better throat hit. Plus they are sealed so they won't break like the auto's will from juice getting into them. And there is no cut-off like with the auto bats.

I do understand :) Even with regular 510 attys or the mega eGo attys one can vape at @6.5Watts which isn't bad for most flavors. So far the LR tank attys are performing well for me and haven't lost any. But yeah - no warrantees on any LR's. I have a variable volt mod - big brother that I use for coffee. But even with at 6v I'm using a 4.2Ω joye atty which puts me at 8.5Watts. And I rarely change the setting - something you commonly hear from those who own VVs. But you do get dialed in. My main point was that with so many vets using eGos - it simply isn't just a beginner ecig.
