Best e-liquid for eGo-T?

Hey gang,

I'm trying to dial in the perfect liquid for use with my eGo-T. My understanding is that the ideal mixture is 70/30 PG/VG (please correct me if I'm wrong), but what I've found after purchasing from a couple different vendors is that there can be a very big difference in consistency and viscosity of liquids that allegedly have the same PG/VG ratio.

So far I've used ElixirLiquid and GotVapes Flux Nectar, both stated as 70/30 PG/VG. The ElixirLiquid is thicker, maybe a little too thick. It tends to clog up the atomizers faster than Flux Nectar. The Flux Nectar, however, seems to run through the atomizer much faster. It seems a little more prone to leakage, but I think the thinner juice just burns up faster. My daily consumption of ElixirLiquid runs around 1.25 mL, but I seem to go through as much as 3-4 mL of Flux Nectar in an equivalent day.

Anybody experiment with different liquids and find the one that works best in their eGo-T?

With my EGO-T I'm using a 60/40 PG/VG mix and it seems to work pretty well. Sometimes I'll add a little menthol to my tank just to smooth out the flavor if it is a fruity flavor like watermelon or peach. The menthol I use is 80/20 VG/PG.

I've noticed a full tank seems to last longer during those times when I add the menthol. It would be smart if I tracked it a little closer now that I've made that casual observation. So I'd say your hunch about thinner juice burning up faster makes good sense. Of course, you don't know the exact ingredients used by the different companies so you'll end up with just some sort of generalization too.

I DIY with Decadent Vapours/TW mix. I use this formula for all my T's:

Vaping at @11mg I use this chart for their Platinum Ice - scroll to the bottom...

Platinum Ice 54mg - Mixing Juice-PG, PEG-400 or VG- 30ml Bottle

I use their Plat.Ice nic base in VG, the Aqueous Glycerin (85:15 VG:H2O) and the flavoring which is mainly in a PG base but some flavors have some VG in as well. So the mix is probably around 70-75% VG, with the rest being nicotine, H2O, and PG as the flavor base and then the flavoring itself. There are some vendors that have their flavoring only in VG for those with a PG allergy but as I mentioned in another thread, there is nothing that is '100% VG' unless you just vape out of the VG bottle without nic or flavoring - not recommended :)

I've never had a wicking or leaking problem - although I have had some burnt ejuice/coil problems which require a vodka bath about once every two weeks - some flavors more often than that. No burning on the eGo-c so far.... btw.

There isn't a "best" flavor or a "best" PG/VG mix. This is all subjective. A flavor I live may be a flavor you hate, while your flavor may be something I hate. Neither of us is wrong, we just like different things. The same with PG/VG. One person may want more throat hit and less vapor than the next guy. Some people will prefer all PG, some all VG, some a mix.

I understand all that, of course... my question was really about consistency of the liquid. It seems like thicker liquids tend to clog up the attys faster and are more prone to wicking issues, thinner liquids burn up faster and are more prone to leaking issues.

But I'm basing that on only two different e-liquid manufacturers that I've personally tried, and other folks' anecdotes from the forum...

I've seen some manufacturers that I'd really like to try, but they only offer purely VG-based liquids, which I'm worried will not wick properly or will require cleaning my atomizers every 2-3 days...

Maybe I'll just have to be adventurous and try out some more liquids on the high and low end of the viscosity spectrum, and see what results I get....

I have been using 50/50 for awhile now and mine seem to be wicking alot better than when I first got them. I had to go through a steep learning curve with the egoT. I had all the wrong juices; 100vg and dark, dark liquids at first and was having a terrible time. Thanks to the people here I have mended my ways and have learned a great deal about how these things work. Now I try to stick with clearer liquid with a higher pg content and I also add a little menthol all the time, though I hated menthol when I smoked, I have found that that little bite makes a big difference in these tanks. My biggest problem is finding juice thats has a decent taste in the tanks, thats why I started adding the mint, everything was so muted. I'm still hunting the "holy grail" of juice for these tanks, but I have time, lots of time I hope, now that I can breathe.....

Decadent Vapours Real Tabs (black label at TW) and DV's Habana Reserve hold up the best in the tanks. I've been vaping these flavors for quite a while on these and other PV's so I know them well. And the new ego-c doesn't affect flavor like the ego-t's can on some flavors.
