Could I get an update on what folks think is the best ecig - and why? I know there have been polls done in the past, but I can't seem to find any recent ones. New ecigs are on the market, and I'm having a hard time keeping up with all the changes. It will be ONE YEAR tomorrow since I quit analogs, after a very long time smoking. I'm ready to buy a new kind of ecig, but I just don't know which ones are best now. Thanks.

As far as what has the most acclaim, certainly, without a doubt in my mind, the eGo is the most famous and loved on here.

Best atomizer, again, just going with most used and loved I'd say 510 (LR, carto, etc) wins overall.

If we're talking straight up best you're wandering into the murky waters of Mod Country. Mods will almost always perform better than any standard chinese made ecig battery. The modified atomizers that people make are often superior in durability and vapor production as well.

The thing about mods though, is that what makes them the best is dependent on the features you want out of them. Autofeed or juicebox built in? wetbox, ggts, reo, etc. High volt? Too many mods to list. Variable voltage? nucks fistpack, the buzz, chameleon.

There's just so much variety that in the world of mods it isn't what's best, it's what is best for you.

The ego is fine if you like low voltage. If 3.2V isn't enough for you, the buzz or the variable voltage version of the joker are probably the best things going right now. The fistpack is also good, but it's almost double the cost of the other two.

The eGo with a good LR atty puts out around 7.7 Watts. It isn't a thing of 'liking low voltage' as much as liking a wattage sweetspot that gets great vapor and retains flavor and throat hit and the eGo can do that.

BTW, did you transpose the 901 and 801 ohms on your wattage chart? Something I've been meaning to ask.

My chart was based on an earlier version that was posted in this thread. I went with the same nominal ohms/models that he had, adding a few LR and HV options. Since the ohm ratings for atties varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, it's really just a general estimate anyway.

Screwdriver MKII,hands down.Simple, small and hits every time.Loved my chuck when it worked, but 2 dead switches later I'm done.Had a MKII break once at a party, but that was due to roughhousing. There just isn't anything to go wrong on these things. No switch to fail on you when you least expect it.Just pushing up on a button that creates a ground on the battery and bam you be vapin!

I wouldn't mind adding an ego or tornado to my collection.Didn't really like HV so 3.7 will do me fine.I just have trust issues with switches now if you couldn't tell from my last post.My protege did the same thing to me.Died when I was away for the day.LONG DAY!That is why I preach the MKII now.I know many others are great, but it's so simple. If it doesn't work, your battery is dead or your atty has crapped out.Ego does look cool though.

Ah! I should ask Ralph T. ;-) thanks. The 801 was always considered the 'cooler vape' so I figured it had the higher ohms. I'm running LRs on the Janty stick now...
