I did not know that. Interesting.

I have no earthly idea if that's really true; someone was ranting about MFS here at the forum, spouting that their juice was just rebranded Dekang. I've wanted to find out ever since if that's really true or not, because their Virginia is my ADV, best tobacco flavor I've tried yet.

I agree. Especially for the all day "drippers" out there.

Well I generally use about 9 or 10 mg for daytime, so I could bring down an 11mg juice pretty easily for that. But at night I try to not vape anything over 8mg; higher nic at night kinda keeps me awake, gives me a pounding heart, etc. Also, at night I'm often sitting around watching TV, so I probably vape more often, and if I keep vaping the 9-10mg stuff, I can easily get into the stomach pains, nausea, kind of symptoms.

What they have, that I don't, is experience and knowledge. It takes time to acquire both of those. If you want/need ejuice within a short time, it's better to buy it pre-made. If it's awful, sure, you have to let it steep more and see if it turns out ok later, and you have to buy something else -- but buying something else is much quicker than trying to learn what you need to know to make GOOD ejuice.

DIY ejuice is a great idea, I'm starting to learn it myself. But it's not something that can be learned quickly. Some folks may get lucky with good flavor choices right off the bat -- unfortunately I'm not one of them. I've tried some ejuices that weren't very good, but improved with time; some were so awful I'll probably never try them again, but I havne't thrown any of them away. Unlike my DIY experiments -- down the drain with those.

The magic is the experience and knowledge, and that's really what you're paying for, when you buy pre-made juice. Learning to make your own takes a good bit more time than learning to build and wick coils -- you can learn to build coils in a few hours; you can learn to wick them well within a few weeks of trying different things. Learning DIY is more of a months/years kind of learning curve. Most of us don't want to put vaping on hold for the length of time it takes to learn DIY.

If you are starting to play around with DIY have you checked out the e-liquid-recipes website? I found it to be an extremely useful tool in making even my very first batch of juice turn out well. I just browsed around and looked for something that sounded good and followed the recipe. The trick is just to start simple. You are not going to be making 5-pawns gambit clones in your first batch. But I found that starting with single flavor liquids like watermelon, sour apple, strawberry, etc was a good way to ease into it. And then moving to two ingredient mixes like pear+melon, strawberry+apple, french vanilla+caramel and move up from there as you get to know how each flavor interacts with each other.

I will still buy complex flavors from a vendor as I have not mastered the gourmet juices that use 5-6+ different flavors in various measurements but when I see someone go into the store or hear of them going online to buy their sour apple, watermelon, or other 1-2 flavor mixed juice I just think of how much money they could save and how easy those are to do yourself.

You may be right. My most recent experiment was a "pineapple ice" flavor, but using primarily PEG rather than PG/VG. It's terrible, even after 3 weeks steep. So I was thinking that what I should do, since I have the pineapple flavor, and the PG/VG, is just try to make a simple pineapple flavor, 50/50 PG/VG, and see if it's any good, and that way I can at least find out if the hangsen pineapple flavor is good or not. The flavor I'm getting is almost like a dill flavor, but I don't know if that's from the flavor, or the PEG. I don't think it's the Koolada, since I added some of that to a really good pineapple ejuice, and it's fine. But if I do the simple PG/VG pineapple flavor, it will at least let me know if I need to get some pineapple flavor from another source, such as Inawera, which I hear is a very good fresh-pineapple flavor. But I do think I need to try and make a good pineapple flavor, before trying to add the koolada for the "ice" touch.

I just ordered some new flavors last night, from ecigexpress; they have a Tobacco Express "Golden Virginia" that I wanted to try; if it's good, I'll try to customize it with the apple and cinnamon flavors I also ordered, because I do think there's a lot of wisdom in staying simple for first efforts. But I didn't care for FA's Virginia at all, which is why I'm looking for other Virginia flavors.

I am confused about a few things in your post.
1) How is figuring out which concentrated flavors to buy when making your own juice any different than having to figure out which flavors to buy from ejuice vendors online? Some of them taste horrible, some taste good (It's really a crap shoot!). The only difference is that it's much cheaper to buy concentrated flavors and test them out than buying a vendor ejuice and throwing the whole thing down the drain when it sucks. At least with the concentrated flavors you may find a use for it with a different recipe in the future.

2) EC Blend does not pre-steep their house blend juice. What you buy from them is made to order and the only steeping it goes through is the 3-5 day shipping time it takes to get to you. I don't know where you came up with 3-6 weeks of steep time for DIY juice, it's made the exact same way as ejuice from most all of the online vendors (pg+vg+nic+flavor). I have been making my own juice for a while now and rarely do I ever steep for more than a few days. With most of the fruit flavors I find that I can mix, shake, and vape right away and they taste great.

EC Blend and other vendors don't make their juice with magic. They likely buy PG+VG by the barrel at extremely low costs and just whip together the exact same recipe you can find and make yourself and sell it to you for 5x the cost. It doesn't require any less or any more steeping than DIY juice because it's made with the exact same stuff.

Some flavorings need an extended steep period, tobaccos come to mind right away; for example TFA's Black Honey Tobacco is gross at the time of mixing, 4 weeks down the road it is very nice, in 5 it is very nice. Some accelerate the process with ultrasonic cleaners or heat, this works for some flavors, just not all of them.

I have found a few recipes that I really enjoy that get exceptionally better with time, chocolates tend to improve tremendously when forgotten for a prolonged period.

Fruits as you have noticed are about as close to shake and vape as you'll get. But if you combine them with a long steeping flavor its best to put them up and come back to them to see how they have progressed.

The real bummer with DIY and flavors that need steeping time is that it takes forever to nail something down. But if you do nail a great flavor, your vaping for what amounts to a nickel per ml vs. a few dimes. I'll vape for $0.30 a day, realistically I'll vape for anything under $6.14 a day which is about what it would cost me for a pack and a half right now.

I'd love to try the Dekang VA Blend to see if it's true what I read here, that MyFreedomSmokes' ejuice is just rebranded Dekang, but the lowest mg that Hoosier seems to carry is 11mg -- much too high for me. :( I don't get these places that don't carry 6mg or 8mg for those who don't need whopping doses of nicotine.

Order 11mg and 0mg in the same flavors and mix to get 5.5mg. I've done that a number of times when they were out of what I wanted.

Search 0mg Dekang (link to the 0mg Dekang below. Just pick your flavor.

If it's a flavor I know I like, I don't mind doing that; I do it a lot with MFS' Virginia, since I prefer to vape between 7 and 10 mg -- I've got their Virginia in everything from 6mg to 24mg, some PG, some VG. But I won't do that with a flavor I haven't tried, much too risky, and since all I really want to determine is if the taste of the Dekang is like MFS', I probably won't bother, at least anytime soon -- too many other things to buy! :D But eventually I may just get the 11mg to try it; I can stand 11mg for a short time.

You might try 10ml bottles of various flavors, but the $3.99 price for 10ml is a little high compared to $10.99 for 50ml. Of course, if it's a trial on that juice you don't want to order a lot the first time.

It doesn't seem too bad to me; MFS's 10ml are $4.99 -- of course now I buy theirs in 30ml or 60ml sizes, good savings on their larger bottles, and even better if I bought the 125ml, but it's probably good that I haven't so far; I've still got a 60ml of 6mg Virginia that I haven't even opened, which I got in June. That little hiatus I took meant that the already-mixed together 60ml 10mg and 40ml 7mg I had were still sitting there when I got back to full-time vaping.

Gotta love it when OP starts a thread and never shows back up. :p

Anyway, I figured this would be a good place to share that NLV is now having a 30% off sale for their first anniversary (as PV Liquids). No code needed. That's $35 for 130ml, $9.80 for 30 ml, or $3.50 for a 10ml sampler. There is a $14 minimum purchase, however.Flavours by NiteLiteVapor

heh, yeah.
sorry, i was mildly discouraged when most of the replys were saying "just DiY" or "look for special sales"
seems people just want to talk about "diy" or "deals and steals".....and those threads already exsist.

i mentioned that i do not want to DiY (edited the first post after a few people mentioned it), and i'm not really looking for prices that i can't depend on. sales are great and all, but i want a place where the price is the price. when i need/want to buy more liquid, i don't want to think "darn, i can't buy right now because there isn't a sale."

just looking for gourmet tasting, always good priced juice.....maybe i didn't word the first post correctly or something.
*preferably at 35cents per ml or less*

In that case... EC Blend. Cheapest juice I know of, and their juice is pretty good, though it does take some steep time.

I also will encourage you to DIY for the cost and flavor options, but if you really want to buy good juice, try Bionic Vapor. His juices are customizable, and very good!! 30ml glass bottle with dropper, for $9.99

Bionic Vapor – Welcome

I second Bionic Vapor. They have 10 ml sample pack for $18 you get 6 10ml bottles. They also have 60ml glass bottles for around the same price. I recommend dance with Miami for fruit flavor and assault custard for dessert,

i love bionic vapor, they are awesome liquids! one of the liquids i already use :)
groundbreaking is one of the best tobaccos i've ever had!

bionic is one of those rare vendors that tastes like a premium juice, but comes with a super low price tag. exactly the type of stuff i'm looking for.
forgot to mention bionic in the first post. probably because i always forget it's priced soo low....seems like a $22 bottle of juice to me lol.

I think slim's ejuice is the absolute cheapest I've ever seen, all free shipping, and especially when you apply the 20% discount (for life) they give you for liking them on facebook. I, having no shame, "liked" them immediately--before even tasting them--to get the discount. I have ordered several flavors from Slim's with very mixed results however, so although I'd love to wholeheartedly recommend them because of the wicked low price and the very nice customer service, I can't quite do that.

I can say, however, that their "Unicorn" juice is a major tastebud tickler, and for me a passable vape if diluted. It's a mixture of 5 fruity-tart & punchy candylike flavors. If you like that sort of thing, I bet it's great. Does a little dance in my sinuses. I use it to spice up some super-bland fruit juices I got in (sadly) 120 ml bottles from Azure Vapes. Oh yeah--there's another place that probably suits your price criterion. I also like Slim's "Godfather", which is mixture of various creams, custards & vanillas, but even as a newbie to vaping I can tell that nothing I've tried from them is going to win any awards. And I must warn you off the butterscotch. It tastes just like plastic and only smells like butterscotch, even after a few weeks of steeping and a free replacement bottle with double flavor. Well, the jury is still out on that second bottle. I've only been steeping it a week.
