Hey all, I just recently started vaping, I ordered a KR808D-1 starter kit, along with a few different flavours of VG 18mg ejuice. I was looking for tips and/or ideas on what PV would be best to start out with? Is the KR808 good? I'm looking more for flavour over Throat Hit. Any input is welcome and appreciated. :)

I'm not sure which PV is the best to recommend for you to start out with, it is a learning curve that cost a lot of money (for me anyways), but you can get some ego twist VV batteries with a mini vivi nova tank system (it was good while it lasted, but after one small drop the battery died). I think that would be entry level. I thought that was so much better than the kits I bought from the beginning like my v2cigs starter kits and janty neo classic starter kit. If you have the money check out reos mods, I recently purchased 4 of them (1 mini 2 grands 1 vvgrand) because they are worth the money. As for TH a low resistance 1.5ohms 306 atomizer will do the job.

Haha, man.. Reading all that makes my mind blow up trying to comprehend it all. I just started with the whole Vaping deal 5 days ago, so I'm quite overwhelmed currently.

Google and youtube will teach you a lot, too bad I didn't do much research in the beginning and just kept spending and spending (had like a package come everyday of the week except sunday) lol... but yeah luckily for me I passed that phase. And also non-related heads up on purchasing e liquid, taste varies, from person to person so if you look up best rated e liquids expecting them to be the best, don't bet on it. I have over $300-$400 worth of eliquids i can't stand in the cabinet even though they were in forums, polls, etc. rated as people's top e liquid flavors. Just a heads up to save money and buy the small 3ml or sample packs before you invest more money into it or you'll end up like me.

Go for at least a 800-1000 mah battery if you can find it on your new ecig. Charging batteries and keeping track of them gets to be bothersome after a while.

What's your budget? What type of juice do you like? What do you like or not like about your current setup? Are you looking for entry level in terms of cost or are you worried about a learning curve?

I haven't used an Ego in a while, but I tried a very early version of the Ego C tank and it clogged with the VG juice that I use. I went with a REO as well after trying a few rigs and realizing that a bottom feeder was the way to go- they're really easy to use and maintain.

At the time REO's were the only bottom feeder on the market- and they're still excellent, excellent pieces of equipment, but if you're looking for something a bit more budget friendly the Vmod has a lot of fans.

I don't really have a budget per se, but I'd prefer to not spend too much on something I'm just starting. The eGo-c Starter Kit I was looking at seemed reasonable at 90 bucks. And about the juices, so far I've only tried a few fruit flavored VG juices(18mg). I kind of just ordered everything on a whim before doing any research haha.

Good choice! I have been vaping for a long time and have other bigger APV's and things, but I still love my KR808's! Yes, they are good!

Since you're already purchased KR808D-1, I would just wait for it to arrive and give it a try to see how you like it first. If you decide vaping is something for you, then depending on your preference of ecig size I would consider either go with the cigar sized EgoTwist/Kgo VV (~$22) or the larger APVs (Provari, VMax, LT, etc. for $80+). As for Ego, instead of purchasing a kit, consider purchasing the individual parts a la carte instead (2*EgoTwist@$45+2*Clearo@$20+battery charger@$10=~$75, or since you already have KR808 just get 1*EgoTwist+1*clearo+USB charger for ~$35). You might not save much assembling your own kit, but you'll definitely get better quality and features. Lastly, if you're looking for flavor try higher PG to VG ratio ejuices. Just for reference, nic level is associated with TH, PG is associated with flavor, and VG is associated with vapor production. Hope this helps and welcome to ECF. :vapor:

Everyone will probably recommend something different on here but here is my 2 cents lol. I have a cigeasy elite. They are 380 mah so they last about 6 hours with heavy vaping (using it like a pacifier lol) and they are smaller than an ego and bigger than your current ecigs. They are a nice in the middle battery. They also sell the new 2.0 elite tanks (easy, easy, easy ). The tanks give very good flavor and throat hit. The kit cost 50.00 and comes with 2 batteries, charger and 5 empty 2 mil cartomizers. The good thing with these is all the cartomizers you currently have will fit them. Anyhow hope this helps and gives you another option to consider.

Thank you everyone for the tips and opinions, they're all greatly appreciated. I received my KR808 about 5 days ago and have been using it religiously, the only real problem I have with it is that I find that always having to refill the cartomizers is kind of a hassle. This is why I had been looking at the ego-c because of it's tank system. I will definitely have to look around a lot more though, haha.

Congratulations!

Well if you need a bit bigger, but with a lot more on board juice, I would strongly recommend an eGo battery with a Mini Vivi Nova.

Now I need to find reputable canadian websites that sell stuff like this, the site I bought my stuff from doesn't seem to carry all that much.

Stay away from the Ego-Tank. Those tanks are terrible. They leak like crazy and have a tendency to siphon e-liquid up to your mouth. Instead I would recommend the following:

-2 Ego Twist 650 mAh batteries...about $23 each (or step up to the 900mAh batts for about $2 more)
-A Joye 510 USB Charger...about $7.50
-2 eGo CE4 PLUS V2 Clearomizer tanks (easy to fill, no leaks and work great)...about $5 ea.)

That would bring your grand total to about $63.50. That's my on-the-go set up. Works great and looks great too. Oh and it won't break your bank.

eGo batteries are VERY mainstream now. They come in all sizes - right from the 350 mAh up to 1100 mAH. They come in a huge variety of colors and designs too. They come in fixed voltage and VV. the Mini Vivi Nova is also very hot now. Any vendor worth his salt has them.

Try asking in the Canadian Forum. Or go check out Health Cabin!
