Hey guys, what I'm really trying to compact a list together of, is the different factors of a build that work the best for someone who simply has a light draw, and prefers to simply draw the vapor in the mouth and taste it.
For me, with trying to figure out different aspects of the what makes an experience an experience, I've tested with the Aspire heads the most, as they've given me a "tolerable" vapor that, depending on what I do, either tastes quite wicky, or only barely tastes wicky.
For those particular heads, I have tried an air-flow controller, but absolutely nothing I did with that made any real difference in a positive way, so I'm excluding that out of what I'm fixing to say. On the Aspire heads, even at the lowest voltage, if I draw easily, I get a very wicky taste. If I draw heavily, the wicky taste is extremely diminished (but still there) and I get a lot more of the flavor. Three or four factors I think go into this are - in the Aspire heads, I think a harder draw pulls more juice in through the holes, that more air dilutes the wicky taste, that the ohms may be just too low for me, and that a harder draw keeps the coils a little cooler, causing less heating of the silica.
However, even if it's just the ohm's of the coils I'm using, this particular method doesn't improve things %100 for me, and I do still taste a lot of silica, and I don't get to really draw in the way that I really enjoy. So I'm moving on to RBA's.
With all that said, that's why I'm trying to put together this list. I'm really trying to figure out what combination of air-hole diameter (in general terms; "small", "big", "multiple holes", "coil position"), ohmage, voltage, and the device's ability to wick that truly and quite scientifically go best with a light draw, to avoid getting a lot of taste from the choice of wick. Maybe I'm just looking into these factors a bit too much, and maybe there's just some odd defects with my choices of heads so far, but I want to take a good scientific look into this as well.
Also, as a bonus question: Anyone know of any replaceable head tank or system that seems to work great for a light draw guy?
