The Deluxe Fluxos that I have are fine right out of the box. If you want to use a VG juice you might have to move the stopper up a little but other than that they are rockin the house. They vape great, and you can take them apart and clean them or change juices if you want so I would think they are def a better choice. I'm vaping some TV Bananas Foster in one right now. Quite tasty.

See, now I wish mine had worked out of the box like that, and I know other have had no issues too. But I've tried to get these to work with the original cup seal on and no matter what I do -- even cutting larger notches in the cup seal and raising the cup seal to the point where the tip of the notches sit just above the lip of the cup, I just can't get them vaping consistently (or even well) from one puff to the next. It was only by ditching the cup seals altogether and using the center seal as the new cup seal that it really started working properly for me -- and once working properly they work amazingly, especially if you chuck the little rubber mouthpieces and use a good drip tip, because those rubber mouthpieces collect condensation really quickly and you get juice in the mouth inside a dozen puffs.

Oh well. They're easier to fill after modding anyway. I don't have to keep a syringe with me.

having tried both the old clearomizer and the latest & greatest gotvapes ones, I like them, but I do have a couple of qualms. First, they require a syringe to fill, vs. it just being a convenience like with the polyfill ones. I don't really like carrying needles around. Also, there is always a noticeable flavor to me when using them... no matter what juice I use, it has this "juice and clearomizer" flavor... I'm not sure how else to describe it. Rinse one out and take a drag of pure water, though, and there is a recognizable flavor to it. I'm wondering if it's the same with the CE3.

I really wanted to love the Ego tank systems, but ultimately didn't because the airflow is so restricted. Someone else I read described it best by comparing it to drinking a milkshake through a straw. The CE3 looks to be along the same idea with a non-polyfill tank, and I imagine it draws more like a regular cartomizer. I'll have to give them a shot.

10ml syringe with 1 1/2 in long, 19 gage, blunt-end needles works well for the standard 510 carto. I'm trying the CE3 just because it does NOT have polyfill. I hope that I can get a little more life out of carto when using thick juices. I really don't have any other expectations. I will be re-assessing the required needle size for the CE3.

But regardless of what you are vaping, if you are using standard cheap syringes or you are not prefilling at home, you are really off target.

HTH,
Dave

A lot of people use the fluxomizers straight out of the box with no problems. The fiddling that Mindfield mentioned is fast and easy. The first time I did it, it took a little longer, but after that you can literally do it in about 30 seconds. They vape astoundingly well is why all of us fluxomizer fans are crazy about them. They don't leak, they don't crack, and the flavor/vapor is just as good as dripping imo. I'm not putting down the ce3's (sorry to hijack your thread, quite honestly they sound quite similar to the fluxomizers in regards to how they vape!) but changing out a couple of o-rings isn't a gigantic operation.

They are also easy to totally disassemble for a fast rinse and dry burn. I can take a totally gunked up fluxomizer apart, clean it, dry burn to get rid of gunk on the coil, then put back together and filled with juice in a matter of minutes.

+1 well said!

I got some CE3's in from TW a few days ago.

I have to say, I am actually impressed, I tried the GV Sapphire, but the 3 I got all had wicking and airflow issues resulting in dry burn and crappy taste.

These CE3's are a very similar design, so I was a bit worried they would suffer a similar fate for me.

Well I can say the first CE3 I opened up is wicking great, has excellent airflow, and the vape is great.

They are a bit more of a pain in the ... to fill, but I can actually chain vape these things like crazy and it doesn't dry up, or really even get that hot.

The only issue besides the difficult filling that I have seen so far, is that the little "catch cup" area under the drip tip seems to fill up pretty fast. I don't think its just condensation, I think there is small bits of juice coming up the airhole now and then and then sitting there in the cup.

I have to mop up the cup area twice per tank roughly, so that is kind of annoying.

If the GV Sapphire vaped as nice as the CE3, I think it would be the better product, its a little easier to fill (not by much though). Also the air tube in the sapphire is larger, so I think juice has a harder time making it all the way to the top like it can with the CE3.

I do like that the CE3's use a standard 510 sized tip, as opposed to the sapphires special tip.

I very much agree with the comparison made to the GV sapphire. They are similar in a lot of ways. Those are great when they work and the filling is easier but the vape is better on a ce3. The mouthpiece is better too. And they are much cheaper.

Just got some Fluxomizers today, and they seriously work really well (when modded). I am very impressed with these, and I am very surprised that there isn't much hype about them? Is it because some modification is needed? This was exactly what I've been searching for in a filler-less carto. It gives great vapor, great TH, and doesn't diminish the flavor. In all honesty, it's just best cartomizer I've ever tried.

With an all vg juice (Bobas), I've found that I have to tip the carto (manually feed the juice to the cup), but that takes literally a second. With a 50/50, I don't see the need, until it's almost empty.

Check out how much vapor a 50/50 puts out after they're modded (2.6-2.8ohm @ 4.5 volts - no diminished flavor, no diminished TH, and well, the vapor is obviously fantastic :) )

Levitas, yes I agree that it puts out a ton of vapor. But I was personally never able to disassemble the thing or remove that inner seal. I broke 3 of them pretty quickly. They worked for about an hour or so then the plastic melted. I think if you look around the fluxos have a huge following.

J, I see, well, to be honest, I did destroy one of them, but that was because I was using a fish hook to pull the wick up  I just clipped the hook off, and bent the shaft of the hook, and everything was gravy.

I can see how some peoples may not want to mod them to make 'em work. But, I've been searching for something just like these for when I am at work (driving) and these fit the bill ever so nicely :)
