Aloha...

I have been useing the Cisco 510 LR 1.5 attys on an ego and have been having trouble with them (Maybe a bad batch???) after a day or two... Now looking to try other brands like Beauway and smok Tech... Can anyone give me some feedback on them... Lifespan, vapor, taste, and any other variables when choosing an atty... Also which atty you liked best if you have used all three of these brands or recomendations for other brands... Thanx in advance...

Are the attys the both of you describe LR???

Iken sells a couple different ohm Atty's ranging from 1.8 to XHV his 1.8-2ohm are excellent LR-Atty''s probably the best you will find in my opinion, I use his HV-510 and his 2ohm myself and really swear by them both.

I concur. Ikenvape atties are the best I've used. The LR801s I bought from them are about 3-4 months old and still going strong :)

Bauway LR's were my favorite for a while. Flavor and draw were excellent and they were usually within 0.1 ohm of their advertised ohm rating. On the downside, vapor production dropped off after about 3 days and were basically worthless after about 10 days no matter how I tried to clean them.

I tried Smoktech LR's. The draw on these was to stiff for me. I had all the veins in my neck bulging out just trying to get a hit. They also suffered the same lifespan as the Bauways.

Then I tried Joye LR's from VaporKings. My current favorite. WOW... Same great flavor that I was getting from the Bauways. Vapor production is just what I expected from 1.5ohms. Where they really shine is longevity. I have been using the same atty for over 2 months with no cleaning and it's still hitting like a champ. I bought a bulk pack (10 attys) and every last one measured 1.5ohms on the dot.

Haven't tried Cisco, so I can't really comment there, but I'm totally satisfied with the Joye.

Lots of good info in here. I can tell you a lot about what not to use. I went through several Joye LR attys, but I now wonder if it was a bad batch, or not actually Joye, as in a misship. The Joyes that came with my Ego kit were the best I've used. I tried some LRs from MyVaporStore (can't remember the brand) and they were hit or miss. I have some Beauways now (standard res) and they have been decent. I really miss the heat from the LRs though. I have some Joye 510 Megas on the way. I got standard res from Totally Wicked (all they offered) and LR from HealthCabin. Both should be in shortly and I'll let you know how they are.

I recently got two SmokTech 510 LR Atties to try (1.7ohm)...but I'm not too impressed with them.

The vapor and flavor are nice, but only if they're really really wet and gurgley (about 5-6 drops to prime them, plus 2-3 drops to keep them vaping). As soon as the 2-3 drops of liquid is used up, watch out...this low-res atty tastes like a rabid forest fire and I start to choke as if I'm in a burning house. It tastes that bad.

I'm using a PumpCart with it now for steady feeding into the Atty, and it helps. However, the PumpCart looks & feels like a prosthetic and I can't use my favorite drip-tip because it has its own mouthpiece (a hard plastic one), so I'm not too fond of it either...and it's still difficult to tell when that "forest fire" will hit. So, I have to count how many puffs I take (which I often forget to do). After only a few puffs, maybe 4, I have to start taking short 3-puff hits during a vape as I try to anticipate the next fill (or pump). But sometimes, as if out of nowhere, I hit a dry spot when there's plenty of liquid in it...and poof...I start choking again. This can't be normal(??).

I'm a newbie with the Atty and only been vaping 2 months, and with an Atty one week. So I'm sure you'll get better feedback from those who've been vaping with atties longer than I have. But I too have been wondering what's the best low-res atty out there...for flavor, vapor production, reliability, and longevity, etc....especially since one of my SmokTech LR Atties completely fried on me just by pressing the switch on my eGo-T battery for less than a second to see if it was working. This was right after I opened the packaging and before I put any drops in them. I figured I just screwed up the atty, but then wondered why it had popped so soon with less than a second of burn time.

I had heard that Cisco LR Atties were the best low-res atties for the money...and I was just about to buy some to try. But now I'm glad I saw your post and the replies in here because I don't think I'll be buying them anytime soon. I'm gonna start looking at the Joye 510 LR Atties and the IkenVape before I try anymore atties.

BTW: I was using the SmokTech 510 LR Atty on an eGo-T battery (1000mAh), but haven't used it often on the eGo because it's not a high-drain device. I don't have a 3.7v Mod with a high-drain IMR battery yet, which I think would handle the pull better...but I don't think that would necessarily take care of the rest I mentioned above.

Compared to the SmokTech LR Atty...I get better overall performance and slightly more vapor from my 510 & 808 CE2x XL Clearomizers (2.5ohms), which I've tweaked to perfection so they vape like a chimney and are nice & easy to use and don't leak or gurgle at all...no problems there. I'm still using the first CE2x's I bought just over a month-and-a-half ago without having to buy anymore (they're RoyalSmokers from GotVapes), and so far, I've been able to refill them 8 times before they drop in vapor production and need some cleaning (they're 1.8ml capacity). I'm very pleased with these CE2x's (once they're tweaked and ready to go), and for me they've come to be like a "benchmark" for comparison against other carts I've tried.

So, in regards to vapor & flavor, the CE2x's at 2.5ohms also out-perform my Giantomizers, my VisionClearos, and lately the SmokTech LR Atty I've been trying as well...except that the SmokTech LR Atty does give a slightly better flavor, but not by much though, and only as long as the atty is really really wet & gurgly the whole time...otherwise the SmokTech LR Atty has been a real pain-in-the-throat to use...lol.

Thanks for this post hoku808pc.

PS: I'm thinking of completely removing the bridge from my atty
and lowering the atomizer-coil slightly, then dripping directly onto
the atomizer-coil to see if that helps. Anyone in this post try that yet?

I'm pretty sure I've tried all of Ikenvape's atty's. lol. I picked up a HUGE bag of them while at Vapestock. I've shared some with fellow vapers and have received rave reviews from everybody. For quality and consistency you'd be hard pressed to find better.

Consistency, to me, is by far the most important aspect of atty's. I've tried a tremendous amount of other manufacturers and have found that they can vary from piece to piece.
