Been loving my KGO + 1.25 Dual Coil Cartos from Hoosier, but need a solution for testing new flavors because filling an entire cart just to find I don't like something is a terrible waste of liquid that is only going to get traded or sold. Not to mention I've got to either smoke the whole darn thing or wash/boil/dry before being able to use the cart again.

What atomizer well suited to dripping will give me the closest heat/vapor/flavor/TH to what I'm used to with these? I'd like get a reasonable sense of what a new flavor will actually be like when it passes muster and earns a place in the SmokTech dual coil carto if possible.

Thanks in advance for your recommendations and insights!

This is a good question, and I am hanging around to see what answers come up. I too have a kGo and love it with the 1.25s. I guess I need several attys, because I have been trying every flavor on cartos. I just cleaned 100 (yes, 100) cartos a couple weeks back. I still have many flavors to try out. Yes, attys would be easier.

Hey guys, I'm searching for the perfect atomizer for my Kgo too. I tried to use it with the 1.5 ohm LR 510 atomizers and ran into problems. Everytime I put one on the Kgo that had been performing halfway decently with my Joye 510 it burned up the wick, and I would tend to get a terrible burned taste. I did some experimenting and eventually found that I got nearly acceptable performance from a 510 LR atty if I dewicked it first.

Next month I'm going to buy a couple of 306 attys from madvapes and try them both with and without the wick. The 2.5 ohm atomizer that came with Kgo gave horrible performance, and I ended up throwing it out. Just not enough vapor. I'm thinking that a Boge/Smoketech atomizer running at 2.0 ohms with the wick still intact will do the trick. They have them at Madvapes also.

I get the best performance of course with 510 dual coil clear cartomizers. But, if I don't keep them topped off I quickly end up with black sludgy liquid in the cart, and have to wash it out. If I'm having this many problems at 4.0v, I can imagine what it would be like with a 5v passthrough.:vapor:

Just wanted to say I learned something a few days ago. I know it sounds crazy, but try using your Kgo without the cone on. I still had a couple of atomizers left. They're so old the paint is peeling. But, I tried them without the cone on, and these didn't burn up! It seems pulling a larger quantity of cool air through is keeping them from overheating. Also, the cone insulates the atomizer inside so heat can build up.

I realize one of the reasons I had never experienced a burnt taste before is that with the 510 I'm very aware of how hot the atomizer is becoming. I always stopped before it felt too warm. Wasn't doing that with the Kgo, and now my problems are gone.

Blech, I am using the atomizer that came with the Kgo, and I keep getting juice in my mouth from the drip tip. I also like the 1.25 dual coil cartos. But what do I use for trying all these new juices?

Can you use the cartridges that come with the kit for trying new juices? I assume I should wash them in vodka or something first?

I've done that Sandy, but I washed them in vodka AND hot water...the taste of the prefill was so nasty it didn't want to come out ;) Also, the cartridge filling comes out pretty easily and you can wash, dry, then stuff it back in.
