I asked Brent about the goofy charging instructions and he said it wasn't necessary. So I didn't do it for the 2nd kit I got recently. They seem to be working fine.

I keep wondering if somebody somewhere is laughing their head off about all of the folks in vaping land who are following those instructions.

But please don't listen to me. I have no idea where those instructions came from. Maybe it's legit?

Oh thank God! I got my starter kit from Northwest Vapors and it didn't come with any kind of instructions, much less weird charging instructions. I got a spare battery from Brent the other day and it didn't come with any weird instructions. I've been reading all the different threads about how people charge them up for so many hours, then use them for an hour and charge them again for two hours after the light turns green (or something like that) and I've been like, is that for real? Are my KGOs going to crap out because I didn't follow some weird instructions? Then I was thinking, but all of mine came fully charged. I couldn't have charged them for eight hours the first time, even if you counted letting it sit on the charger for two hours after it went green.

Charging batteries for the first time like that are more geared toward when most batteries had a memory.
The batteries that PVs use now though do not have a memory so its not necessary to do that the first time anymore.
Its basically like an old-wives tale that wont die bc manufacturers keep sending units with instructiuons that are basically irrelevant for the type of batteries that are used now

Mine says "you make most puff satisfactory for long time" It's like a fortune cookie. I've been thinking about using it for my signature. It's a very insightful bit of ancient chinese wisdom and can't tell if they are telling me I will live a longer happier life or if it's just a compliment. It makes me very happy.

OMG that's hilarious, but it is kind of catchy "you make most puff satisfactory for long time." Kind of trips off the tongue.

Well, according to USPS my KGO should be at my house WAITING when I get off work :D Unfortunately the kiddo has guitar lessons tonight and I won't get to play with it until well after the dinner hour  Maybe I'll have enough time to run in the house, tear open the package and plug in the first battery before I have to leave again. Maybe just maybe.....

To Be Continued..........

I'm another one that loves there KGO. Lately I've been sampling juices. I started using the atomizers that came with the KGOs but I didn't like the taste of the juices with them. I bought 20 cartos, I'm using them to test my 3ml juice samples. when I'm finished with the juice I just toss the carto. For the price you can buy the cartos for it doesn't seem practical to clean them, at least for me.

Again...I love my KGO!!! Hmmmm...maybe a cool KGO tattoo is in order.lol

Well, I've been using my KGO on and off all day with a DCC. Not real happy with the setup. The carto is getting hot and giving tons of flavor, but not much vapor - in fact, none to itty bitty wisps. What cartos are you all using? I have some single coil KR8s at home and an adapter, I will try those tonight. Maybe I just don't like DCCs. Is the lack of vapor normal? I have tried everything. I overfilled last night and let it sit, then blew it out this morning to get any extra juice out of the center tube. This Carto is getting hot so I guess its working idk

edit: Using a 60/40 PG/VG mix @ 12mg if that makes a difference to anyone

I really don't have any problems with my KGO and DCCs in the vapor department (or at all for that matter). It could be the "overfill" even though you blew it out, or it could simply be the juice itself. Some juices don't vapor much. If you have good vapor with that juice in other setups, try filling a carto normally, don't overfill and blow, just fill it up to the saturation point, and see if you still have that problem.

I go with try not overloading the carto, or just vaping the one you have loaded up heavy until it lightens up a bit. Are you hearing the carto popping? I wouldn't give up on dccs until you have exhausted your options. Something's wrong. Really. They produce well, although I will say that fruit flavors get dulled a lot on the hotter cartos IMO.

I'm vaping cotton candy 12mg 60/40 pg/vg. I blew out all the extra juice and have been vaping on this thing as if it were my last day on earth (ha ha) The carto is getting hot and it is popping and I am getting flavor but vapor is just not there. I may have to drive to Illinois so you can show me what I'm doing wrong

I don't know, but I'll tell you what, something just happened that really solidified my opinion that you flooded the carto. I dont know if there's a solution for it, as I'd think that vaping on it, and/or blowing it out would help, but hear me out...

I just got a new tank today. It came with a double punched carto with some good sized punch holes in it. I was a little hesitant to put a "light" juice in it, but really wanted to vape a particular flavor so I went with it. I've been going along okay, and then suddenly the volume of juice in the tank dropped fast---before I realized that though, I was sucking and sucking, not getting any vapor and thinking what is wrong? I thought the battery was going down, but then looked at the tank, unscrewed it and there was a pool of juice in the battery... the carto is flooded. Having to switch out juices to a thicker vg juice or change the carto to a single punch.

Either that or you simply got a bad carto, that does happen too.

yep. Welcome to the club. Defies the science behind it to comprehend why the DCCs fall short of the kr8 horizontals. But there's no comparison when it comes to flavor and vapor. Hopefully you can get some enjoyment out of them though. The single coil boge's come close.
Those with high voltage devices claim that DCCs just don't come to life on 3.7v or less. The power just isn't there.

The DCCs I tried did do better after a day or so compared to the kr8 cartos which seem to fire up right away. Sometimes they just need time to "season."
