So just looked at some of the provari specs ... What makes them so good compared to the innokins? and why so expensive?
American made with superior parts and materials, attention to detail, dependable, reliable, consistant (your last puff will be as good as your first), durable, repairable. Manufacturer will support and repair their products for life. Plus it gives about the smoothest vape you'll ever experience. The Provari is considered the "gold standard" for which all other regulated mods are judged by. You have to pay more for American quality, and with the Provari you get what you pay for.

PBusardo can have his pick of any mod available, and has been asked if he had to pick just one mod and a topper, what would it be. His answer was a Provari topped with a kayfun.

But still compared side by side here are the ones I am looking at

EVIC, EMODE, VTR, VAMO5, PROVARI MINI

Which one and why?

I also have the permanent dropsies.

Aside from the Provari, all are made in China. Should one dysfunction or need repair, send it to the trash bin. Only the Provari can be repaired, even though it is unlikely to ever need it. It is also the only one that uses a 800 Hz chip for PWM, the others use less than 120 Hz. (see link in the blog)

Dropsies? All the more reason to get the Provari. (see blog again)

I started out 2 months ago with a MVP 2 and I loved it. It worked great but after 1 month of use and many tanks, I found it harder and harder to get my tanks make a connection. It usually took about 15 minutes of trying to adjust the firing pin and slowly backing out the tank from the threads before it would read it was there. It got old very fast. Then I bought a REO Grand and now it's my favorite.

I just got a provari in the mail today and put a kayfun clone on it. It's pretty damn nice too.

So to recap, MVP is a great battery but the firing pin problem is aggravating. You can't go wrong with a REO or a Provari.

The blog is all about batteries.
And how many times do they need a repair? My MVP has been flawless including a fee falls from me missing the pouch on my wheelchair. No repairs needed is provari S durable or are the repairs needed? You know like costa sunglasses are lifetime warranty but never needed; however, rayban the warranty is a necessity if that makes sense.
Not worried about where they are made trying to justify the expense

The link I posted is working on this end. Why Provari? Its not about batteries, its about the Provari. There's about a dozen or more links in the blog to previous threads asking the same questions as you are.

The Provari is designed and manufactured to be as durable as possible. In the rare event that it needs repaired, it can be. For as long as you wish to use it. Try that with the Vamo, VTR. Evic, or MVP.

At one time each mod had its own sub-forum here on ECF. You could browse each one and read of all the issues each specific model had such as: premature wearing of the connector threading and broken control buttons (Vamo), breaking easily from simple falls (Evic), thread or battery issues (VTR), center pin issues (MVP).

Go to the Provari sub-forum and you rarely read of such issues. Owners would brag about what their Provari went through and survived without barely a scratch. They spent their time talking about what to put on their Provari's, what colors they had or what colors their LED display is.

My own Provari has fallen several times from my lap onto concrete when getting out of my car. Do I worry? Never, because I know the Provari is built like a tank. And even if it broke, I know it can be fixed and back into my hands in a couple of weeks time.

I've had my first provari for over a year now and it has gone everywhere I go. I have dropped it multiple times at work on a cement floor and to this day have never had a single problem with it.

So is there anyway to get ahold of one for less than 200 bucks?

The basic stock Provari is $159 at Provape. Cheaper if they have slightly blemished ones in the clearance section. Clearance

Now don't count batteries and charger, because you'll need those for a Vamo or VTR, too. If you need those, skip the starter kit at Provape and get them elsewhere for cheaper (ie RTD Vapor).

I would have said mvp2
But I'm retiring mine
The center pin doesn't make. Contact with any ego clearos. I use my provaries for 510 , chi you clone for rda's

It's gotten a lot of use. I paid $43 shipped but owned less than 6 months. It still works. It's just the center pin Has to be adjusted all the time.

I'd like a Provari, but since I don't have a huge disposable income I stick to the iTaste MVP. It has a long life, great flavor when paired to an Aspire Nautilus dual coil tank, and can charge your USB devices. Have lot of fam and friends who use it with great results :) and completevape.com has em for @$40 with shipping. They may list them as out of stock, but usually ship within 3 business days. BEST deal in the vapo-verse!

I've heard a lot of people complain about the evic.... Some say its comparable to a tin can. And I've heard they break and tear up too easily, I can't speak from personal experience but I've read it alot. I like the vtr, but the thing is so heavy.... I have 2 mvp v2 and 95% of the time I carry them. My next purchase will be a provari... Not a mini tho.... Have you compared the two in person? I originally thought I wanted a mini instead of the standard size but after seeing just how small they actually are I'm going with the full size, plus I want to be able to use 18650 batteries for when I'm out for the entire day. Is rather carry an extra 18650 battery or 2 than 5 or 6 18350's. But I'm holding out, I'm hoping they'll release a provari v3 soon. And I'm praying it has vw, I heard from a good source that it wouldn't be much longer!! Fingers crossed! :D
