LadieKali,

I would highly recommend you get a 510-ego adapter. They fix the problem of the low center-pin very well, and you'll never have to adjust the pin on your mvp2 again.

well it didn't work. my adapter doesn't make contact with the mvp's.. and now it's stuck and i can't get it off lol.

Gonna check your link out in a sec..
But yes I can hear they sound out of a buddy of mines vamo. Bugs the crap out of me when it's quiet. Quite frankly being an unemployed gimp fresh out of college I don't have the money for the provape model after looking more into it. So I'm back to square one.
Dude, just get an MVP until you can afford a Provari.

If you don't want an MVP, get a reasonably affordable Segelei ZMax. You won't know what you're missing if you've never experienced the vape from a Provari.

Vaporshark.com?
As in the store is that another device?

it's both. but he's referring to a low end, mass produced (well, as fast as evolve supplies them with chips) DNA 30/DNA 20 device.

personally, my belief is if you're going to go for a DNA device, get one that's going to withstand some abuse like a hana mod or a ZNA. though, with their new induction to the new DNA 30 chips, they're at a very limited supply due to evolves limited supply of DNA 30 chips.

honestly, if you have an MVP II now and don't want something that performs like a vamo and do want something that's going to last, save up for the provari... unless you're not dead set on a variable powered, regulated device with safety circuitry.

Thank ya'll so much for the help!!!
Sticking with MVP II until either I have the disposable cash for a provari or they have. 3rd gen come out whichever comes first!
Kuljit sold me on it!!! Between that and seeing it side by side on the scope with provari
Love my MVP and don't wanna get a bad taste for anything else lol

LOL. i'll play. Reo by a mile :)

I had all the innokin products and they are good if you want to mess with tanks and their leaking and flooding issues. I even own some provari's and they are very well built and dependable. BUT….

With my REO's, coil of my choice and ceramic wick I just vape. Simple, pure taste without the fuss. Same coil 3 weeks, same wick 2+ weeks….just rinse, dry burn, rinse dry till water is gone every so often depending on your juice. Then fill the bottle, change out battery and roll.

You won't regret it. The MVP will be great until you can get a ProVari. ProVape also has reasonable repair and upgrade pricing, so don't feel bad about sinking so much cash on a good mod...

Replace Window and screws- $10.00
Replace Circuit Board - $65.00
Upgrade to V2 - $20.00
Replace plastic pushbutton - $5.00
Repairs to the circuit board - $25.00
Cleaning - $20.00
Replace top cap - $15.00
Broken Cartomizer Service - $10.00
Return shipping within the USA - $5.00
Return shipping International ~$46.00

agreed.

but as reonauts, we have to understand that some folks aren't ready for that leap yet for whatever reasons. may not be comfortable with battery safety and prefer something that will cut off output. may not be ready for building wicks and coils and want something different out of their vape. may just want regulated voltage.

in a perfect world, there would be only one. but variety is the spice of life. and although tony asked "what's the best mod" as the title of this thread, we all come to know that what people are really asking is "what's the best mod for me currently". with his preference for smooth variable power output on something that will last for a while, i have to consider that a prothingy is right up his alley.

to each their own, ya know. but i truly believe tony will love his future pet provari.

Lol... You are so correct I can assure you-lol. It's sort of like that car painter or body guy whose car runs really well but looks horrible. I mess with electronics, computers and circuitry so much that when it comes to vaping and relaxing I just wanna fill up a tank, grab an adult beverage and relax. Hence; I'm looking for a worry free low maintance mod with adjustability depending on the juice.
That said the ProVari is perfect in the long run and the MVP2 is a perfect bridge until I get there in the next few months.

AAAAAAAAAAAAnd, Sold. The koolaid worked! Another Provari sold.

Another $50 says he barely makes it to the end of the week before ordering..........

I thought the Vamo was the major rattlesnake machine, while other mods are better somewhat, and the Innokin's were very close to the Provari?

From the homework I've done that's what I seem to have concluded.
The innokin mvp2 and ProVari appear to have such a high frequency that they are rubbing near DC. Whatever you set your Bb and VW that is exactly what is gonna run through the coil. Whereas, a large amount of the others are running a lower frequency and making that rattlesnake sound. What it appears to basically be doing is turning the voltage on and off through its peaks; meaning going up to say 6 volts for a shorter period of time to hit the magic number you set it on; instead of hitting the actual number it's set.(if that makes sense).
My figure since I'm already an innokin user and I like it; why rock my own boat.

I have an SVD and love it. I feed it 18350's to keep it a manageable size. I also occasionally use 18650's in it when I'm home and I'm not dripping with my Chi You. When I'm able to take the leap, I will go for a Provari Mini. I've heard a lot of good things about the MVP 2, but since I am already vested in the SVD with batteries and such, unless my eGo twist back up fails, I probably won't get the MVP, myself.

You've got the concept correct. The vast majority of VV/VW regulated mods use buck boost circuitry and pulse wave modulation to create higher voltage than the fixed 3.7 volts of our high drain batteries. They accomplish this by sending extremely short pulses of energy to the heating coil many times a second. The resulting output will be the mean of what the user sets, however the wave "spikes" will be a much higher value in both voltage and amps drawn from the battery. Depending upon the frequency (Hz) of these spikes will determine how smooth the vape will be.

The devices which use lower frequency (33.3 Hz) appear to fire hotter and less smooth IMHO. Higher frequency devices are less hot and have a smoother vape.
