Unfortunately I havent stumbled on any newport flavors yet because of the bad rep about there not being any close to the taste.

The problem is nothing will match exactly. You will realize if you try to light up after vaping a while that that cigarettes indeed taste like ash, and I have yet to find an ash-flavored eliquid. I don't think anyone would find that appealing, either! The other poster recommended Halo and that vendor has a huge following for its menthol flavors, however.

What eCig did you end up ordering? I saw you ordered and cancelled the DSE401 (good call to cancel that, honestly) but I don't see that you got something else in its stead. Just checking in!

Did you look at vapedudes? They take 2-3 days to ship but they are in TX too so shipping for you would be fast. They have a great price on the eGo Twist with a free bottle of juice, it's only $23. That one order I purchased(yes its a stupid china site) and their customer service suuuckks like they dont even have a contact number, they have some type of chat thing on their site but doesnt work or something and then they have a return policy and says you have to email this email which i did about 3 days ago and they still havent hit me back. I PAID $55 !! ughh most dumbest mistake i've ever made....

anyways lol I bought some clearomizers from some company off alibaba heard some good reviews on him about his stuff and I recieved my juices from ecblends today and I should be getting my clearos tomorrow.....maybe I should of just waited the following day to purchase my stuff I probably would of gotten something better.

luckily I get paid tomorrow. YES LAWD!! so I am def going to be buying from vapedudes tomorrow especially since you just mentioned they reside in TX!!

Stick to US companies when there are so many good ones with excellent service. You will get your stuff faster as well. For what you are looking for to start out on eCigs, is no need to deal with the risk of Customs.

I got a Newport chain-smoking friend turned on to vaping. Initially she wanted a Newport-tasting flavor, so I bought her Nport (might have been Dekang) from ecigexpress. She said the menthol was pretty strong, so I got her unflavored PG/VG nic liquid to dilute it. It turns out that she prefers the sweet flavors I sent her anyway, like Blu-Bacco and Ectocooler from Mt Baker Vapor. To each their own, although I am the same way. I liked Menthol Camel Crush and Marl Lights, but I didn't like vaping menthol. I think I liked menthol cigs to cover up some of the ashy flavor of the smoke. I prefer tobacco-fruit blends. I'm loving Backwoods Brew flavors at the moment. But I also did what was suggested a few posts above - I purchased Angel Tears from Rawr and I can add menthol drops to my fruit ejuices to give them a kick.

Vaping really is just... different. But those who try it, a GOOD setup are blown away. I have been talking to the tenant downstairs about my eCig. He smokes half a pack a day, and I let him try my Vmod XL with Honey Flue Tobacco from BWB. He loved it so much that he didn't give it back to me the entire night! He sat there just puffing away and didn't light up once. I didn't mind lol, I wasn't tweaking but it was great to see. So by the end of the night when I got my Vmod back, we'd gone on Mt Baker Vapor and had ordered him an Ego Twist with 3 juices to start him off.

The only other suggestion I would make, coming from having researched the nic content of Newports, is that they are relatively high in nic per cig compared to most. Although flavor is relative, to be "satisfied" nicotine-wise, I would recommend you go 18-24mg. That's what I put my friend on to make sure she was getting enough of a hit, and she's ok with the 18 now.

I tried a few menthol types. When I smoked analogs I smoked Marlboro 72 lights and also Marlboro Blue 72's, so I smoked regular and menthol. A local brick and mortar shop let me try out some juice called "Nport" It reminded me a lot of smoking a menthol analog. Just a suggestion but you might see if an online shop sells something like it.

The New Harbor I got from ECB is great, I'm on the fence with this and the Red Box Classic for an ADV.


The New Harbor hits with decent menthol, but I reccomend extra menthol as it seems slightly lighter than I prefer, and the tobacco undertone is noticable, but barely.

Overall as a Newport Replacement? 4.5/5

The Red Box is kind of like a Corriander flavor, very enjoyable and sure too keep your taste buds intrigued.

Overall as a general full strength generic redbox replacement, 5/5.

As an earlier poster said, ciggys taste like ash after trying one after a couple days, so its unlikely if not impossible to find ciggarette flavored e liquid to the tee. Experiment, shop around, but I reccomend ECB first because the investment is small($5.95 per 15ml bottle + $4.95-$5.95 shipping)

Most smoke newports for the strong hit and the menthol anyway am I right?

The Desert Gold And The DK 555 were my favorites

The Desert Gold, tasted kind of like Clove Djarum Blacks

The DK 555 tasted kind of like a light nutty Clove to be honest

The Clearomizers last as long as you keep the coils De-gunked, so Ive heard, I use LR Smoktech 1.7s and 2.0s on a Vision Twist Battery.

Hey Kay...when you find that Newport flavor let us know. Finally got my wife interested in purchasing an e-cig and she's adamant about matching the flavor of her beloved Newports.

As I said previously, I'd been a long time Newport loyalist since my teens (55 now), but after 3 years of vaping I don't trust my memory (OR my tastebuds) concerning how a Newport used to taste. I know the taste was certainly much different to me when I tried it after vaping a while. (Unpleasant", to say the least.) Quite disturbing, having smoked that brand for so many years.

In the beginning, I too searched for a Newport match, but my search ended when I fell in love with the clean, fresh taste of Menthol Ice (www.halocigs.com).

I haven't looked back.

The wife says the flavor is too strong for her, so I need to find something close to what she might like.

I only smoked menthols, mainly Marlboro menthol light and Newport. No juice is really like a .... IMO, but I have been enjoying the halo and Johnson creek menthol juices, working for me.

I had an interesting experience yesterday. Finally decided to visit a local flea market where I heard an e-cig vendor had a stall. After searching around a bit, I found a "smoke shack" with an area set aside for electronic cigarettes. The vendor sold The Johnson Creek brand and allowed me to sample a couple flavors. I asked him about menthol flavors, as my wife was having difficulty finding a flavor she liked. After informing her that my wife smoked Newport, she said she had just the flavor. Tried it and it tasted nothing like Newport, yet she insisted that's what Newport tastes like. Then it occurred to me that after 4 years of vaping, I probably don't know what Newport tastes like anymore. I purchased it for my wife, though. I'm curious to see what she thinks...
