I don't miss leaving my house and wondering if I put that last cigarette out or if my house is going to burn down![/QUOTE

This really made me laugh...me too! The last thing I did every morning and before going to bed was check all the ashtrays and on the rare occasion when I forgot it would haunt me all day.

I'm not ashamed to say that I loved smoking - still do I suppose even though I don't do it anymore.

vaping was my choice to stop poisoning myself and to save money but I've no intention of quitting nicotine.

Sure, they're toxic as hell and make your clothes stink but darn it all, cigarettes are sexy.

And so are vapers!!! :toast:

I replaced my morning ritual of a pot of coffee and chain smoking with a pot of coffee and Irish vape, vanilla vape, or my favorite mix of my own, Kahlua and cream with vanilla caramel tobacco. That last one is my absolute favorite flavor. Because without that, I would probably still be craving a cigg with my coffee.

On a side note, anybody else quit using creamer when pairing coffee with a nice flavor?

I am really, really struggling with the association of coffee and cigarettes. I'm trying to build a new association between coffee and vaping, but so far I'm not really there. A cup of coffee usually sends me outside for a cigarette.

Still, one cigarette is better than two, and it's still early days. Perhaps there's still hope that I'll become one of those people who not only don't smoke but don't miss it.

When I smoked, I had my typical morning smokers ritual of getting a pot of "The Java" going and lighting up that "Cowboy Killer." You know when I think about it, it was probably one of the reasons it was so hard to quit smoking. The ritual of smoking. Smoking at the bar, smoking with my coffee, lighting up when I first would get in the car, so on and so forth. I thank the stars that now, with vaping, I still have these things and none of the " I remember when I used too's."

Vape on brothers and sisters. Vape on!

Head In The Clouds...

The ritual is a great way to describe it. It's decades of habit for a lot of us - I wouldn't have gotten through college without cigarettes and coffee. The rituals are where the cravings pop up - but I vape through them, and I'm building new habits around vaping. The car is the worst, because I hate just sitting and not doing anything. I rarely watch a movie or TV without my laptop or iPad going. So I just vape until I literally cannot take another hit, and it gets me through.

The things I don't miss are burns in mattresses, burn holes in my carpet in the car, ashes on my pant legs, Waking up groggy, getting a cup of coffee, and lighting the wrong end of a cig, getting up after a concert or a party and feeling like I can't breathe...

Watcha gotta do is find something that's really really good with coffee - like The Vapor Room Cinnamon Danish Swirl.

That, and bumping up to the next higher nicotine level for craving fit times of the day. When I started, for me that was first thing in the morning and that last couple hours before bedtime.

And that's the odd looks that make it not welcome. Be discreet and unobtrusive. Don't make it harder on the rest of us because you're an attention ......

My wife makes me go outside to vape. :( I have to stealth vape in my office or bathroom at home.

Bummer, my wife was so happy I was giving up the stinkies she told me I could vape in the house. Most of what I vape she will come in and say what is that? It smells good...
