Best RBA/RDA for throat hit.

So I'm used to vaping 18mg juices from old-school disposable atomizers; favorite being the Cisco HH.357 but since they're so expensive, I've mostly been settled on Stingray 1.5 Long Barrel.

I've recently gotten into rebuilding and have an authentic Russian V2, an Omega RDA and a IGO-L. If I use 18mg juice in these, there's some mild throat hit (still much less than the old school atties) but I get nic-sick very fast for the first time in the last year of vaping. Using 12mg juices in these, I get almost NO throat hit; like breathing air. Massive clouds of vapor but no throat hit and I'm definitely not a cloud chaser. I've rebuilt my coils with different gauges of Kanthal and have used both organic boiled cotton and torched ekowool. The closest I've gotten with a reasonable hit is a 1.2 kanthal 28g build with ekowool in my Russian but even then I feel like it's not enough AND I'm getting nic-sick off the 12mg now. These same juices have much more throat hit in my old school drippers. And yes, I've tried raising the coil as high off from the airhole as possible.

I usually run my old school drippers off my Provari at 4.0V. I've ran these RBA/RDAs off Provari, Brass Stingray, and Seven-22 22 watt VW up to about 15W.

Any suggestions?

In your omega/igo l, try rotating the top cap so the air hole is further away from the coil. Have you considered using a juice with higher pg?

I have been using the igo-l for several months. I read where people enlarge the vent hole to get a stronger hit. I don't know if this is true but I personally think it has more to do with the juice % of pg. You will get a strong throat hit with pg. Good luck to you and happy dripping.

I could be alone in this and it may be completely in my head, or i could not be doing it perfect but it seems to me that building on a ss mesh wick gives more throat hit than cotton.

you could also try dual coils. should be fairly easy on your drippers, its a pita in kayfuns but totally awesome.

you could also try lowering your resistance which is a sure fire way to increase heat, but do so safely.

My juice is 70PG/30VG. Like I said, the throat hit is fine on my old school drippers. Is there something out there that can recreate this? What's in those things that makes the hit so much better?

My guess is the Cisco HH.357's tiny diameter is what contributes to the amount of throat hit you get.

You're a boss for dripping 18mg. I grabbed an old bottle I had of 18mg just to try it for old times sake, and it Fvck3d my throat.

Trident is ok .
Exhaling harder.
coil position above airhole for TH, below for taste but I find if you get it dead on center but as close as possible gives good TH.
menthol in your juice(crème de menth is good), vodka in your juice.
bigger id coils give me less TH.
could try a nano with only half the coil covered in cotton or a dragon style, depending on how you set it up will give good TH.
