Thanks for introducing this
The Taifun GS is outstanding and works well on an ego.
Let me give you my, Replace the battery FIRST. I know that's not what you asked but trust me, the ego will never do what you want it to do with a rebuildable. The advantage that a rebuildable has is it's ability to be built in a way that allows you to push the voltage on it higher, with an ego you just can't do this. A simple vv battery on the atty you already have will make more difference than a rebuildable would on your ego. If you want to get into rebuildables which I completely understand a good mod is essential. You can get them pretty cheap if you look around, I saw a regulated mod for $20 the other day that would push 15 watts! Once you have a good variable device then get a rebuildable, then I would recommend a kayfun, it is easy to build and if done correctly it gives amazing and flawless performance, I personally don't think you could spend your money better when it comes to vaping. I use my kayfun on an itaste mvp2 and I love it! If I want to blow clouds then I use my patriot on an AR mod, but when I just want to vape the mvp with kayfun is amazing.
I run a kayfun mini on an ego,
Kayfun mini is the worst head I ever tried to use. Between dry hits and flooding I threw them in the garbage. Out of about 10 to 12 rebuildables they are the only ones I could never get to work. I have 4- Kanger Protank 3 mini's which work flawlessly. Just buy 10 Protank2 heads and rebuild them as rebuildable single coils. Best Mini on the go IMHO. CHEERS!
Thanks.
Would it not good with iTaste VV/v3? I do have a plan to move to mechanical and created few threads last months. Member's replies were very informative. Learnt lot of stuff. But for an ego / vv too I would like to use Rebuidable because, it is hard to get coil heads from other countries as it involves inflated cost in terms of either money or time.
In India, the coil heads are sold for 4 to 5 times higher than fasttech. So wanted to get RDA/RBA instead of building a coil with Kangertech kind of thing.
As long as you're running a vv device go for it! I recommend the kayfun based on my experience which consists mostly on non rebuildable tanks. I can definitely understand wanting to save money on coils. My kayfun is an ehPro clone, I like it but it's big.. I think the mini could be good for you, and perhaps I misunderstood about which battery you had, by saying ego I assumed you meant a basic one, but if you have a twist or something like that then sure a rebuildable would be good. My father in law uses the 1000mah twist with a nautilus and it seems to do pretty good but he does have to charge it half war through the day so he has 2 and keeps one on charge all the time. As long as you have a pair of them, you should be fine but remember that the lower the resistance and the higher the voltage the less time you will get out of the battery. I will say though that rebuildables are nice, I said all the things that I said just because I would hate to see you spend money and time on a rebuildable then hate it because the battery isn't pushing it enough.
I'd recommend a mini Nautilus, it has an amazing coil, good for an EGO battery and roughly 2ml's capacity.
The coils are a bit hard to rebuild, but totally worth it.
I run a kayfun mini on an ego, and it is a remarkable vape. I would say its almost as good as a full size KF with a little less volume, but the flavor is great.
I had to open the juice channels on it to about 1/8 inch deep, and use a fantail organic cotton wick on it, and run it at 1.3 ohm.
Of course the battery needs two charges to get through a 4ml tank, but oh well. It is what it is and its pretty amazing for something that fits in my shirt pocket. I use a "sticker" thingy.
Not my pic, but very similar.

I would not go with a Genisis type RBA like a DID on a eGo battery. You will need to have another mod to allow you to pulse out shorts and when the atty shorts again you'll have to repeat that process
I have used a Vision Eternity RBA at 1.8 ohms on a eGo Twist and it's very nice. Here's a PBusardo review of it.
These puppies can be used as drippers that hold a lot of juice for a dripper, or as RBAs that hold 1.2 ml in a eGo-C tank. They work very well and tanks are removable and can be capped off and another put on at will for juice changes.
It doesn't have air holes. Would it work well with a beauty ring?
