Nickel is for space build, do not pulse your coil. For me when i do nickel i dry fire to see if the coil change colour. If it does that mean the coil is not good for vape, if it remain the same then i will proceed with my wicking. Please correct me if i am wrong.
Bro. What do u mean by space build?

Dont mind sharing a photo of how ur spaced coil looks like. Thanks

Alamak I've already assembled my Lemo 2. Unlike the subtank, it's near impossible to dismantle that tank without throwing/wasting my juice but it looks similar like this though

Same here. 12 wraps, 3mm diameter coils for 0.15 ohm (compact) = heating up is very slow. Appreciate any advise!

Ni takes a much longer time to heat up compared to kanthal at the same gauge size wire (eg. 28G at 0.2: NI 110 mJ/K vs Kanthal 6 mJ/K) - lower the number faster the coil heats up)

Aaaaaand....

It works! Spaced coil taste better and i do get much more vapor.

Thanks!

Woo!

Anyways, I tried paralleling my 26g kanthal and 26g ni200 (10 wraps I think, 0.15ohms), firing at 240 deg celsius (I read somewhere that anything above that temp, the cotton will start burning if it's not wet enuff and might cause the ni200 to oxidise which is not a good thing).
Flavour not too bad.
Too busy to do twisted coils though meh

Brandon (founder from Evolv) have shared that nickel is best built as spaced coil. I don't dry burn then either.

Usually 9-11 wraps around 2.78mm mandrel (7/64 inch)

They look legit!
How are they twisted? Any better then just a single strand?

I used a drill.

The only reason why I twisted it was cos 30ga ni200 by itself is stupidly soft and wobbly.

But now that I use 26 and 28ga, I think it's much better to just use straight untwisted wires.
