Thanks, those links were super helpful. I searched "RY4" but that didn't show up for some reason. Probably user error:laugh:.
I knew there were a lot of variations out there, but I didn't know there were that many! Mom and Pop Vapor shop sounded like a good place to start, so I ordered two samplers, one each of RY4 tobacco and RY4 V2. The list says they are on the sweet side, which is what I think I would enjoy more. So, maybe I won't have to search very far. OTOH it might be kind of fun now that I have bill's list to go by!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions!
If I might add, what makes them good to you? (sweetness factor, tobacco/other flavorings, TH, vapor production, price, etc.)
Balance! It's how all of the things you listed come together to produce the final product.

Mom and Pop's is great. Be sure to use the code "ecfrocks" for 15% off.
It has been so long since I have tried their RY4 blends (they also have an RYO4) that I have forgotten what they taste like, and my taste buds weren't really working well when I tried them anyway. I should add some bottles to my cart to try them again for the first time. :p
If you find that you like their blends, you should definitely check out Tobacco Haze. IMHO it's their flagship tobacco juice. Tobacco Dolce and Praze are also at the top of my list. They aren't RY4 blends, but they are tobacco with different levels of sweetness, as well as other components that set them apart from each other.

I've lost count of how many RY4s have been reviewed on the Really Big RY4 Roundup thread. I've personally reviewed roughly 75, and other posters have reviewed probably another 20. I would guess that we're only about halfway through all the RY4s that are available in the retail marketplace, maybe 200 all told. And more are on the way.

Like beauty being in the eye of the beholder, the "best" RY4 is up to the individual vaper.

Thanks guys! I feel confident that I will find one that is what I'm looking for. I will let you know about the mom and pop's early next week.

You made a good choice there! Mom and Pop's RY4v2 is outstanding as far as I'm concerned. I'm surprised no one has mentioned Vaperite's VR4, because often Backwoods' RY4 (my personal fave but annoyingly hard to acquire, as mentioned by others) and VR4 are at the tops of people's lists. VR4 is a great RY4 to be certain, and a lot of people like it. It's a little sweet and rich for my personal taste, but I'm not particularly big on sweets in general. Depending on your taste, you might enjoy it.

I'm also a huge gan of Mom&Pops RY4 and RY4V2. M&P's RY04 uses a different base and is not for me. One other person mentioned Highbrow RY4; it is MONEY. Highbrow RY4 must steep for about two weeks, but after that, I just can't put the stuff down.
Order a sample from highbrow and don't touch it for two weeks- no cheating, I mean two weeks. You will be amazed!

Hey all! I could use some help finding the best RY4 out there. It seems like everybody has a version. I think it could be my all-day vape if I found the right one, so I am curious:

What's your favorite RY4?

So far I've tried Liberty Flights and Dekang and they both had their own good qualities, but also their own shortcomings.
Liberty Flights had a great sweetness to it, but the flavor was very light.
Dekang had more of a tobacco flavor to it, that I liked, but I thought it could have more sweetness to it.
There's got to be a juice out there that has both, but there are so many, I don't know where to start. And I would like to avoid spending too much $$ on my quest. So any input would would be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance...
The BEST I have EVER tried is at GOURMET VAPORS: Listed under JEREMY'S RY4! HANDS DOWN! :D

I've vaped a number of RY4's and my favorite is Dekang PG RY4. It's thin, vapes really well in a carto, and tastes just like I wanted it to. We all find one that suits our taste buds and your preference probably won't match 2 out of all the brands that are recommended.

You just have to try them and pick. Coke or Pepsi? We all would disagree. Some would like Dr. Pepper and others would be Sprite fans.

The only problem with that thread that Dream posted is it will introduce you to a world of choices that can drive you crazy...well, it drove me crazy! Great thread though!

PERSONALLY, I WOULD SAY BWB RY4, BUT IT IS POINTLESS TO BRING THAT UP SINCE IT IS RETIRED!

I had heard that too, but I last month, I logged on to the BWB site just to "window shop," there it was. I'm vaping it even as we speak ... read ... type ... whatever. Maybe that was a one-time thing, or maybe some of Don's devotees floated the rumor about him retiring his RY4 in order to thin out the competition for it :) I couldn't say. But I'm glad I got to try it. I'm not an RY4 expert, but this is very good. Like everything he makes, it manages to be both subtle and flavorful at the same time. Been vaping Mom and Pops, too, and I might even like it more than the BWB. It's a bit sweeter and the flavors are more pronounced -- I never claimed to have a refined pallet. Both required some steep time, the BWB more than the M&P, about 2 weeks. They're both 24 mg, and I didn't specify PG/VG ratio, so what I got is whatever their respective "standards" are. I would recommend either one.

No, it's no rumor..though I wish it was. I can say that if you manage to keep it around, it will get even better than it is now. I have had three of his RY4s with different ages and the older one is really flavorful on the tobacco side and the sweetness compliments the spiced elements substantially.

I'm not really good when it comes to restraint. I've had 3 30ml orders of BWB RY4. By the time 2-3 weeks goes by, I usually have 1/3 of the bottle left:facepalm:. At that point, I end up dripping the rest. It really does peak at 3-4 weeks, but I just can't help myself!!!! I hope in the future Don's RY4 recipe can somehow be mass produced and patented. This is just a dream of mine:). It really is a winner for an all day vape and in essence could make him very wealthy. I know that may not be his goal but hey, there is nothing wrong with making money.
