what's the best coil I could build above 1 ohm on an rda (igo L)? I am building it for use with my variable voltage device, I'm having trouble finding one that produces enough vapor wanted to see if anybody else is using the same setup and have any tips for me, I am currently waiting on my mechanical mod in the mail. I am using 28 gauge a-1 kanthal and cotton

Just a regular ole micro coil with cotton built on a 5/64 drill bit should work just fine. Can't tell ya how many wraps. The lowest gauge I have is 30. I did 9 wraps earlier tonight and it checked at 2.02 ohms.

Is the air hole drilled out a bit larger? I can't say for sure, but I think that would help with vapor production, too.

i have the stock air hole however it feels rather airy probably because the way it sits on my mod there's a little clearance between the mod and the base of the RDA.

A 10 wrap microcoil around a 5/64th drill bit/screw driver will get you 1.1-1.2 with 28g.

I had one of these butterfly paper clips laying around,i made a coil around it about 8-10 wraps and i got about 1.1-1.2 ohms, i made sure the coil was really tight, it now is hitting pretty good between 4.5 volts and 5 volts

That's what I've got sitting in my Igo-L right now, and it's working great!

The Igo-L has no airflow through the base, it all comes from the hole in the side of the cap.

If you're happy with it, no reason to change it. mine's drilled out a little bigger than stock, so it's about halfway between being set up for either mouth or lung hits. I sort of prefer it that way. :)
