Some stellar RTA's have hit the market lately. These tanks can handle high wattage, high vg juice, have a variety of innovative features like juice flow control, top fill, big air flow, velocity style decks, and are coming damn close to producing rda quality vapor. Tanks like the Cthulu, Aromamizer, Crius v3, and the newly released (but sure to take the rta world by storm) Griffin RTA. I don't own any of these tanks just yet though. As cool as all of them are, I don't really have much call for one. They're a bit over the top for what I need from a tank.

For myself, I like to have my on-the-go set up, and a power house set-up for when I want to chuck some clouds. Right now my on-the-go set-up is a Subtank mini, ni200 build, on an IPV D2. This gives me a satisfying vape, I get 2 days off 1 18650, and I go through 2/3rds of a tank a day, and it's compact. Now, I could only imagine that if I started using a dual coil tank, at 60 watts, my consumption would double and my battery life would be cut in half. A dual 18650 mod is simply too big for my liking to carry around all day, so that's no solution at all.

When I want to chuck clouds, and build however I like and push the limits, I have my rda's and high power mods for that. I generally only use those at home though. A tank that can produce comparable vapor to an rda is still inferior in several ways, and only superior in one; in as far as it eliminates the need for dripping. But since I only drip around the house, it's no bother and I prefer to be able to gaurantee wick saturation, and to be able to change out wicking quickly when cloud chasing.

I vape like this to be more efficient. I don't feel comfortable consuming more than 5 ml a day, and I don't want battery life to be a constant nagging concern. So basically, between my RDA's and my Subtank mini's, these beastly new RTA's have no place. Like a laptop has no place when I have an IPad and a good desktop PC. And the tanks that do have single coil decks, are still overly complicated for that purpose. So what in your opinion is the best RTA for single coil set-ups at the moment?

Wine rta.

Kayfun-esque style of tank, subtank style deck/coil leads.

No extra this or that to fiddle with.

+1 SXK Wine

Subtank rebuild deck plus just whats needed to work.

Some are impressed by how many unneeded extra parts can be shoved in a tank and still get it to work.

Others are impressed when something can be made as simple as possible.

I like simple and the Wine is a marvel of simplicity.

My wife just got a lemo drop, it's a single coil, easy to build, IMO better flavor than the Subtank mini and it's sturdy as hell, perfect to carry it out and about. Plus if you run the leads under instead of on the deck it might reduce the chance of your coil getting loose.

Personally, I love the squape RS. Not new, by any means, but its a great tank. I've heard mixed experiences with the clones but as far as the authentic goes, its fantastic. Good enough that I ordered a ProVari Radius for it to free up a dna200. Been awhile since a 1 ohm coil and 20 watts did anything for me.

The Russian 3.0 looks good to but its 6 feet tall. I don't see the similarly to a k4.....I see a massive improvement over the k4.
Never heard of the Wine....the guys that gave it props usually have good taste in hardware. I'm going to look it up.

I'll second the Squape R. While some clones are not so great the EhPro clones of the Squape R are excellent. It's probably the easiest RTA to build on that I have ever seen, and with the swappable decks it's by far the most versatile RTA out there. Single coil, dual coil, subohm or high ohm, max VG juice or really running high PG juice, any type of wicking material including SS mesh, it can go them all and do them well.

My only complaint is that it's tall, and it could use a bit more airflow. The 3.1mm airhole is enough to lung hit from, but it's not quite as airy as I would like.

Do you have a point? I asked for the opinion of others. Thanks for pointing out that I'm asking for opinions, I guess.
What's the best 4 cylinder car? That's basically what you're asking here... best is relative to whom you ask.

I Do believe the comment refers to what you make of the hardware.
I think one should pick a style of vapeing that fills their current needs and wants. And spend some time with that device and work with it till you perfect that particular tank
or device.

^^^ edited for clarity.

If you're getting a satisfactory vape from your current setup, why do you want to change it? o_O

I explained exactly what I wanted an opinion on. What is, currently, the best RTA, designed with single coils in mind, in your opinion. Real simple. His comment was just asinine.

You edited for length. If you ask me, it's fairly clear what I'm getting at. But I'm biased I suppose.

I don't want to change my set-up nescecarily. I do enjoy collecting this stuff though, and I do shop for new products from time to time, so you never know. The current trend seems to be dual coil RTA's, and they get all of the coverage. So, I thought I'd see what simple single coil tanks, or even devices that have different deck options, people are like at the moment.

I think then you will get ever favorite tank someone is currently using to the vape style that suits their needs and taste.
which by the way is just like looking at E_Bay.
