It all depends on what type of analogs you smoked and how many.

I smoked Winston Light 100's, about a pack a day. I am happy vaping at 12mg, but I can go up to 18mg without any problems. If I go any higher than that, I start to OD on nic and get light headed.

If you have already bought the juices, just buy some of the same flavor, but with 0 nic content. Mix the 2 strengths together at a 1:1 ratio and you will have an 18mg juice. :) You can buy empty bottles at just about any vendor, so you can do the mixing.

When I switched from Analogs to Vaping I got 18mg.

Climbed the Walls for an Analog.

Then I tried 24mg.

Climbed the Walls for an Analog.

In desperation, I got ahold of so 36mg. It got me over that first 2 week hump. Then worked my way down mg wise over the next 3 or 4 months. Now I vape 18mg.

Everyone is different and it depends how often you vape. If you get headaches or light headed, your using to high a mg.

Besure to drink a Lot of Water when you Vape.

I started vaping in September with 24mg and quickly found that it made me sick (especially since I vaped so much in the beginning). I went down to 16-18 and stuck there for about two months. Then I went down to 12mg and currently I go between 8-12mg. When I go out and drink, I usually bring along some 16-18 just to make sure I don't bum some analogs!

Its a given that 36mg is too high,even for the Hulk;

If your juice is PG,take a stroll to the pharma and get some food grade USP glycerine (VG) and cut it down.

Try a little amount 1st (say 5ml) and add 5ml of VG to it,see if the taste is still correct for you.

I mostly vape 12 and 18.

When I am really bust and need both hands (like while working!) I can chain vape some 24mg for a few minutes...that make me put down the PV and not think about it for a good 2-3 hrs.

If you read the ECF tutorial, they recommend getting a strong juice to start. You can easily lower the nic level but can't raise it.

You can always order the same juice you already have to lower the nic without reducing flavor. Or add a few drops of VG or distilled water.

I do vape less with higher nicotine.

Exactly...on anything less than 24 I wanted to throw the e-cig away and drink the juice.

With 24...there is a distinct stopping point. I pick it up, hit it a couple of times, and put it down for 5 minutes. The lesser levels it was NONSTOP vape vape vape vape vape vape.

The overdose headaches are something Ive never experienced before.

My first order was 18mg and 24mg - thinking that the 24mg would be for my cravings and the 18mg would be my normal vape. I had to work my way up to 30mg to get off the analogs (morning and craving vape).

Now, with my last batch I mixed them mostly around 20mg, but mixed one small bottle at 26mg for my craving moments.

I mix a one month supply at a time. My next batch will be at 16mg - 18mg and we will see from there. My plans are to get it as low as possible, but still avoid reverting to analogs...

I find I absolutely need 24mg. I only smoked regular Marlb menthol's and was almost a PAD, but anything below 24mg requires me to chain-vape solidly for 15-20 mins before I feel even remotely satisfied (which is really inconvenient, especially if I am on a limited time table, like in the morning rushed to get out the door on time).

The only drawback to 24mg or higher is that it can be a bit harsh, I often get the 'cheese grater' exhale with such a high nic level (especially first thing in the morning or if I haven't vaped in a long while). But I get my nic satisfaction much faster (5-10 minuets), which is similar to my analogs (which 100% satisfied me in 5 mins or less).

You could start high or you could start low, both have the advantages. If you start high, you may get used to the higher nic level and it will end up being a requirement for you (sometimes can be hard to find 24mg or higher). However if you start too low, you may end up feeling unsatisfied after vaping for long periods of time and may lose interest int he whole e-cig thing cause it can't combat your analogs efficiency.

I say you buy a low, medium and high to start. Start low, but if you need more you can always try the higher nic one. And if the low works for you, you can always dilute the higher nic level ones to a lower level (can't do that with lower nics levels to make them 'higher').

Also don't forget that vaping is a much less efficient way to get nic into your bloodstream than analogs. Some may think 24mg is borderline dangerously high, but it's still not nearly as potent as an analog puff for puff (in terms of how much your body receives).

Just depends on your situation. If you just want to social/recreational vape, which would mean longer periods of vaping to enjoy the flavor, then a lower nic level is the way to go. But if you want something to curb the nic craving as quickly as possible (as analogs are so good at doing), higher is the way to go.
