I've had more luck MTL with the Triton and Kanger Subtanks (using the higher resistance coils made for them) than I did with the Nautilus, but YMMV. For MTL I personally prefer the eLeaf GS Air tank but I'm sure there are others who could direct you to MTL-specific tanks better than I.

It just depends on the coil you decide to use; of course you could cut off airflow on .5 coils and MTL that way, but in my opinion, that's not using the sub ohm coils the way they were designed to be used. Luckily, some manufacturers figured out that people like options so they are offering 1.2, 1.5, 1.8, and now 2.0 ohm coils that work beautifully inside those otherwise cloud machines.

Look into the Kanger Subtank Mini for their 1.2 and 1.5 ohm coils, you already know about the Triton (1.8 -- I loved that coil), and now the Innokin iSub Apex has a 2.0 option available. There are so many people who need more options for MTL and I am very glad that manufacturers are really starting to recognize that.

This was all written while I am quite tired, and frankly a little rusty at posting on public forums! I hope this was helpful and again, YMMV, these are only my opinions. Good luck! :)

I tried the Kanger Subtank for MTL, Highest ohm coil I had was the 1.2, still wasn't pleased, tried the RBA built to 1.8 ohm, that was better, but still needed too much air for my normal style of draw. Then I tried this:

That' right, an Aspire 1.8Ω BVC coil. It gives the perfect amount of restriction to the airflow and I am blown away by the flavor and smooth vape I am getting with this mis-matched pair :)
I'm driving the coil at 4 volts...

Personally for me, the Kangertech Subtank has been the best thing so far for my mouth to lung hits. It's easy to hit when the air control valve is set to the wide open position. I only have to take about a 2 to 4 second hit at 15W with a 0.5 Ohm coil to get a rather large vapor cloud (depending on the liquid of course).

Best tank to come out in ages for my preference of vaping.

Subtank Mini all the way! I use it every day! I also use the Kayfun lite +'s as well. I don't know where you heard/saw that about the vapor production and flavor cause I can tell you that is not the case. Those things rock!

I'm actually considering the Kanger subtank mini kit now. I was leery about it at first, since pbusardo said the rba section made juice take like "monkey ...," but he had a pre-market version, so I think that's been addressed now. I don't really plan on building a whole lot anyway, since I'm getting a new mod to avoid fiddling around with my Reo.

Also, I decided I don't need an IPV3, since there's no way I'm going to be vaping at 100 watts or above. Crazy talk.
