Why would you use a silver polish on a brass plating? No wonder its wearing out. Use a cleaner meant for brass. Because although its just a plating of brass its still brass. Brasso is one of them. As to how to get that back I am not sure. And the silver you see I believe is either a plating of nickel or its the steel underneath

Lol yeah I know I kinda treat it like crap because it's a clone and I bought it just to see if I liked mech mods

I also googled it while buying it and some one said it was fine to use it but I'm guessing who ever posted that was wrong lol

Take it apart, put it in a ultrasonic bath once a month. In between baths, can use sunshine cloth to wipe the exterior and interior (but not the contacts) and/or use Capecod cloths. As far as the silver-plated contacts, you can use a cloth specifically made for silver-plated jewelry to buff it, some say a pencil eraser or anything that is safe on silver-plated items. I use a cloth and vodka.
