Best way to clean protege adapter?

I have the 510 adapter.

how do you guys clean your adapters?

I just take kleenex and twist a corner then twist it around the inside of it and set it upside down at night. No problems so far but do see some juice on the keenex when I use it.

I soaked mine in Vinegar the other day, I heard it was a good idea to do it once a week. Not sure it did much because I keep it pretty clean.

I went through the motions anyway. I break all mine down every 5-7 days and clean them up.

Yeah. Steve recommends a vinegar soak. But I haven't felt the need to it yet since I'm pretty obsessive about keeping mine wiped down daily like robstc described.

For any liquid that accumulates in the well, I tear off a corner of a napkin and push it in with a paper clip. I push it around a few times to soak up the liquid and pull it out.

I'll try vinegar.

I really like the Everclear but, I clean a lot of things with it so I always have a few bottles sitting around. I have a friend that drinks it

I don't think the vinegar taste / residue is as easy to get rid of.

Not all states sell or allow Everclear (PGA). Texas doesn't have a problem with it..

maybe I'll try vodka.
no everclear here.

EDIT: used the vodka.
seemed to work great.

also I cleaned every last piece, used brasso, used noalox, ect.
works great

opened up my apple flavor and tryin it as a celebration.
Mmmmm..menthol apple. love it!
