I'm just curious to see who would buy the M401 adapter. In case you didn't know, the M401 adapter was discontinued a while back during the original USBpass days due to low sales.

At any rate, I am one of the few, lucky owners who happen to own a stainless steel M401 adapters that matches perfectly with my Protege. Steve was kind enough to "custom make" it for me using scrap parts from the original left over aluminum adapters. It has since become my favorite adapter/atomizer combination for the Protege, and that's coming from a guy who is very, very loyal to the 510.

So would you buy it? Discuss.

(Sorry Steve, I'm not trying to be a PITA lol)

I want a 401 adapter for my Protege desperately! If Steve makes some more, I will definitely buy one.

I've never used the M401. What are its virtues? Is it more robust than the 510 at higher voltages? Does it produce more flavor? As good as or better than for dripping? Somebody let me in on the reason for all this 401 interest.

Any information will be deeply appreciated.

No, the M401 doesn't do well at high volt's.
You can drip or dip a 401, personally I like it better than other model's for flavor and overall performance.
Most of us are already 401 user's and just would like to use our's on our protege at 3.7 : D

I had one of these things and it was REALLY hard to clean. I would not recommend this to anyone. I gave it away when I sold the Protege. Never used it anyway. Stick with the 901/510 guys.... Go with what works.

No thanks on that 510, I can't stand them. I like my 401 and cleaning has never been a issue on my 401's or any of my PS mod's so can't see it as a issue with this.

all the adapters are hard to clean, especially in the the troft that catches excess juice

Heh yeah, I had issue's till I found a few trick's.. I use a squished q-tip and I have some flat makeup applicator things that work really well to get that liquid that gets in the trough/well.
