Best way to lower the amount of time 'pulling' without using a mech?

Currently still using Evod batterys and Evods. My coils are 1.7/6 ohm 'normal' coils with cotton wicks (32g Kanthal). I'm still mulling over what my upgrade is going to be.

My biggest pet peeve since starting vaping is how long you have to pull. I press the button, take a short 'primer'? puff, then pull for about 5/6 seconds. 1 1000 2 1000 3 1000 4 1000 5 1000 .. The only people i have ever seen take normal pulls are on mechs with sub ohm coils. Sure they can take long ... pulls to. But, they don't have to. Is that really the only way? I really hate the way they look.

Is there any kind of build you can do with say a mini protank/itaste VV that heats up super quick and could cut that to at least 2.5 seconds? Micro coil? Vertical coil? 28g? 30g?

macro-nano-triceratops coils? J/K heh.. But seriously.. i would appreciate any info on the best build for a small device that heats up fast!

I have been using micro and nano coils in my protank I also have a dripper with nano coil and that rips on ego battery it's 1.6omh cotton wicked and the flavour and heat of the hit is spot on it is PITA to keep dripping but I love it i can get as much vapour as I did when smoking as quickly with my protank s plus it taste better i would try a coil build with 28awg or 30 awg a1kanthal also try cotton wicks as some of the silica wont wick as fast as cotton does I wrap my coils round a 1mm pin for the nanos and 2 mm drill bit for the micros but try whatever you have that's round and small enough look on you tube for a tutorial there's loads of em also use a multimeter to check the coils make sure they are above 1.4omh otherwise they may not fire on the evod battery and would be unsafe to use

I am building microcoils with 30 gauge wire around a 1/16 bit, you need to make sure the wrap is tight. I normally do 7/8 wraps and ohms around 1.8 ohms. Perfect for pt rebuilds IMO. Then assemble the coil, test you have good resistance, burn a couple times to test. Then add cotton, top, grommet. Fill tank, let soak for minute, good unfired pull, then vape away.

Check you tube and there is a bunch of good videos.

before I went sub-ohms I used dripper rdas and a zmax built coils at around 1.4 ohms I used to fire 3 seconds before I took the puff that way you shorten the "pull time" as there is a nice amount of vapor already there for you

Interesting, a topic thats more across the board than limiting it to your rig alone.
I also am bugged by long pulls; a second or 2 pre fire helps, and for me sometimes a wee bit hotter Vs.
All the best,
