That does seem to be the nature of it - it certainly goes through juice faster than other carto's I've used so far. You just can't get warm & tasty plumes of vapor without going through the juice needed to produce them I guess. I've been using them either on my 14500 batteries that have been in use half the day already, or on basic 901 batts so that they aren't quite as potent. Another thing that seems to be happening is that the filling becomes saturated or something (less able to hold as much fluid or feed the fluid it's "holding") but I think that's normal with carto's anyway (note that I'm not all that experienced either - it's just been a few months now). So, I've had to add much less fluid, much more often or else it starts gurgling or tasting like acetone or something if I don't pay attention and let it get too dry.

I topped it off three times, and it would take less each time it seems. You're probably right tho, all that vapor, th, takes fuel to produce.

I ordered 10 of the latest batch. They're good looking, will fit on my Empire and I've been crushing on 901's since I tried my first IKV (IKV 901s are why I even looked at the Empire, actually). Can't wait to add my 1 cent.

Sewknitty these function perfectly on my Empire. They thread perfectly on it. I use mine when using AW IMR 16340 as a stealth vape, only problem is all the vapor they produce is a dead giveaway:vapor:

Thanks, Tat! I use my Empire mostly with an 18350 because the size tickles me...lol My order SHIPPED so soon I'll be unsuccessfully stealth vaping with them.

Got my 901 carto today!

Let's just get the obvious out of the way first: the draw on this thing called a 'carto' is as phenomenal as the 901 atty, imo. And, it vapes without that carto hissy sound too! I got plumes of vapor.

Now, here's where I wonder if there's a bit of a learning curve. I filled it up, shook it down, rolled it, blew in it and then popped it on a freshly charged 18350. It got hot really, really fast and I swear it tasted a bit like dry atty after several back to back hits. As long as I let the carto cool it's flavorful but if I vape like a maniac it lets me know.

Could this be because I am a vape fiend and deserve it, the carto is new or is this is a known characteristic? No matter what I'll buy again simply because they're beautiful. (Yeah...I'm that shallow :) )

From the two 901 cartomizers I tried personally I thought they did a good job of wicking the liqud. I could take many drags in succession and I would not have the problem of an arcid taste. This is with liquid that was a bit on the thin side. Maybe you have too much VG?

This carto worked fine for me with my PG liquids as well while chain vaping on a fresh 14500 battery although I found it a bit too potent and took shorter drags, so I'm guessing I'm not quite the vape fiend you must be

I did get a bad taste however chain-vaping with a 70/30 PG/VG liquid. This particular liquid did well in vertically-oriented element cartos but not in this one where the coil is at the bottom.

Scorched and Wolcen, yes, it was VG I let it sit overnight (actually, I fell asleep) and woke up to wonderful vaping. Lesson here is to allow for actual wicking time with a VG juice.

I just can't get over the draw, especially after pulling vapor through dual coils lately. Dual coils really are fantastic (real keepers) but this is the other side of the moon. Easy draw and airflow without blistering voltage is always wonderful.

Now I'm worried...I only picked up 10...drat. Going to try another with a VG/PG mix just for the enjoyment though. How long can I expect one to last?

Seems reasonable to me to expect 4 or even more weeks with a "preferred" (i.e. primarily pg) juice. That's without any sort of carto maintenance - just keeping it filled and the caps on whenever not in use. I have great confidence though that they'd last much longer, I just feel that even 3 or 4 weeks is pushing it in terms of my sanitary limits for something I only ever really wipe down.

I've actually only burned one out, but that was due to a pass-through that wasn't up to the task. I've had great results with these on 14500 as wells as on old-fashioned 901 automatic batteries.
