UGH I know 5Card, it's not you my good man. I was on with Tech support as this problem has been occurring since B Friday. They said it's due to high volume, but didn't have an answer when my reply was that I am paying for the full package that includes Unlimited bandwidth and the fact other companies from the same source is not having these lags. It's almost impossible to work with the site in this condition. Took all morning just to get these things listed. Needless to say, I'm considering provider alternatives as we speak. I locked out the thread just to keep it simple when there's a post it can be found easily.

You and we know it's not due to high volume. I've been on your site around the clock at many different times, and many times in the wee hours. It is usually just as slow any time.

Sure hope you can get this resolved with the least amount of hassle. Boy I can see how difficult it would be for you to update your listings. And time is money.

Good luck getting it resolved, Alice

Today is the first time it happened to me and I've been on ikenvape.com at least 10 times in the last month. I'm on my other pc right now because I thought it was my pc so my regular netsurfing pc is scanning for foreign objects right now. I think I'm going to just let it go through the scan anyway. It takes about 2 to 4 hrs..

MWA, I'm with ya on the benefits of the wick on the 306. To me the native extra wick going up to the bridge is an added benefit especially for bottom feeders. The only thing I use a debridged atty for is testing several flavors in a row, as they can be dryburned quickly.

Getting back to point, I read, at least a month ago about you adding wick to the 306. You gave a description of what you do but I didn't quite understand and asked for a picture. Can you please explain in a little more detail how you do it? Do you run the wick through the arch and tie it on one side or perhaps a figure eight through the arch and then knot on one side? Sure would appreciate more detailed instructions.

I'm using primarily bottom feeders and I think the more wick the better, especially with thicker VG juices. I'm only getting about 24 hours use out of LR306 before having to boil, due to the juices I use. Every 4 or so boils I do a very careful dry burn. Haven't ever popped an atty dry burning but I'm extra careful with the LR306.

Thanks, Alice

WestAmyx,

I go right under the arch of the Bridge, tie a double loop not like a bow then cut the bow leaving all the ends if you know what I mean, this way once wet it lies all over then Bridge, I still do it and it works for me. I'm also using the wicking material from the latest CE2R4 Cartos

Like a stringy toupee.

Thanks much. I have wicks from the first 10 E2 r4 that were the .......ized r3.xx (they had stuffing and primer oozing out). I don't know whether to clean them first or try to work with them and then torch them when I finish. Three or four of the reg size have stiff, tea colored, rodent urine smelling wicks. I may soak them, still attachd to cup and let them air dry. I don't want to fiddle with them too much as they may shred.

Alice

Hiya Alice!
I'm getting to your beautifully written email, i promise!
About the site, right before I was about to hit the trigger on changing providers they have sent a newsletter stating this:

Hi:

Several of our customers have been complaining about slow loading pages (it happens off and on) during this time of holiday shopping. Although we anticipated increased traffic for the holidays, the traffic is well above even our own estimates.

The good news is that we are working with Rackspace now to bring more servers online (we have a "rush" order in with them right now) to ease the heavy traffic a small portion of our customers have been experiencing--which is causing slow loading pages at different times of the day.

The bad news is that your store will be a short downtime around 7AM (CST) - TUES, 12/7 while we migrate your store's database to these new servers. Once these new servers are plugged in and migrated, this will ease the load our database servers and dramatically increase the response time. This change will affect a small portion of our customers, so if you are getting this message--it will affect you. Please be advised.

Thanks,
CoreCommerce Support Team
So they'll have a week before we take off. :D

Glad to see things are coming together Isaac. I remember some years back when I bought a new PC with a 56K modem. I asked my ISP at the time when they anticipated moving from 33.3. I was told, well it's like this - you are planning a trip to TO and the road is not paved yet. (1400 miles give or take).

LOL what a reply! Thanks Switcher,
We waned Verizon Fios and were ready to switch providers a year ago, Since major buildings around here had Fios, I asked Verizon "around when can we expect to have the service?" Their reply was "Well, if you sign up now, you can expect to have in January" Mind you we were in November of '08 and they were referring to 2009. So I said "Ok and what if I don't sign up now? Does that mean that we won't get Fios?" Her reply was "Yes" Now we're at the end of 2010 and still no Fios! Sorry PA, I dropped the ball

You lost me after the word WE and I mean the first WE. What is FLOS for this ignoramous or should I just tend to my own knitting as my mom used to say?

LOL, not FLOS, F-i-O-S. Fiber optic service. Verizon is running fiber to as many places as they can. Most major metro areas have had it for a few years and the rest of the US is being rolled out where practical. I live just outside of DC so we've had it for some time. I won't say where I work BUT let's just say that I have 35MB/35MB service in my home for about $80/month (that includes all channels, HD and phone).

Thanks for clearing that up. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with all these new fangled things they got now days. They even got cars that run on corn, can you imagine that? I'll bet it's hard to get the cobs into it.
Not if you have this mod.

We wouldn't want one of those to backfire now, would we? Especially if you are following one
