I really do think the flavor wick has something to do with it.

I had Gravity in an rba for 2 days, very very slight burnt taste, next to nothing. When I dry burnt the coil to clean it, what I smelled was exactly what I got out of stock coils with the flavor wick. I think the flavor wick doesn't allow a clean vape and it gets gunked up.

I'm still really enjoying the flavor out of stock coils with H1N1, just not the quantity of flavor or the hit......

All I have on hand right now is 28g Kanthal. I'm gonna try that and see what I get. I only have a MVP2 to test my resistance on, so I'm gonna try to keep it at 1ohm or higher. I'll let you guys know how it comes out!

It would be easier with 30g because of the number of coils needed, but if they're tightly spaced you should have just enough room.

I built one with 28g, 6 wraps and ended up with 0.9ohms. I'm not sure if that's good or not! I've had flooding/gurgling issues almost all day since I guess I'm not used to the cotton. I'm having a hard time tasting it now! I'm getting mass vapor, but muted flavor!!! I guess I'll charge my battery up and try again tomorrow!

Flavor issues are inevitably too much or too little cotton in the coil. I would stay off the flavor wicks entirely, make sure you slide in enough cotton to "slide loosely" through the coil. If you go in there and give it gentle tug (after getting wet) and it slides too easily, or, gets "caught on the coil" - the ammt of cotton is off. .9 is a great spot (if you can get it to fire on your mod?)
