When I started vaping 5 months ago, I migrated all my cigarette paraphernalia to the kitchen. Ashtrays, my trusty Zippo, those little metal snuffers, everything. For a while it was all visible, and close - on a table near the kitchen doorway. Gradually, as I became more confident in my vapor, I began to put things further out of reach until the whole area where my smoke stuff had been was now empty of nothing but unwanted mail and a couple of hats.
Yesterday I was in the kitchen waiting for the microwave to finish heating up my dinner, and I spotted one of the metal snuffers sitting on an open shelf just above my eye level. My gaze lingered for a moment, then moved slowly to the right, where I found two black delrin ashtrays pushed deep into the far corner of the same shelf. I had forgotten that I put them there, which surprised me. I picked one up and saw that it was half full of half-smoked cigarettes. I didn't panic, or feel a craving to smoke, or anything I might have expected to feel. Instead, a faint smile played across my lips as I chuckled and whispered, 'Hehe, don't need you anymore.'
Then the microwave beeped and I took my dinner to the living room and forgot all about it until now. It was a quiet and unemotional moment, but in retrospect a significant one. My fear that vaping may not work for me, and that I might just need to smoke again sometime soon, has finally and completely gone.

Two nights ago I was asked by a couple where I got my setup; they were looking for a local B&M to explore getting into vaping. I was deliberately vague, as I'm not really impressed with any of the local B&M's. I did tell them about ECF and a few other websites to explore as an alternative. I hope and wonder if they followed through. The lady seemed pretty excited about it, the guy appeared to be going along with it dutifully.

I too have vape-mail on the way, and it should be here in about 6½ hours at the most. :D

I spent some time looking at the new members forum tonight and it was amazing how much things have changed in just a few months. There are lots of threads about rebuilding, mech mods, rba/rda's, and expensive vv/vw mods. Not a mention of an ego or evod in sight! Lots of new vapors starting out with kayfuns and good stuff like that.

Back in February, when I was originally spending time in the new member area, every other thread seemed to be about spinners, evods and protanks!

I need to get back over the the new members section. It's been a while. I have an awful time just keeping up with my subscribed threads!

I'm glad to see that so many new members are learning about better devices, but I hope they are reading about battery safety before they get a mech.

I feel like ECF was and is essential to my vaping. I might still be smoking without all I have learned here. Whenever I talk to anyone about vaping I always tell them about this forum and make it clear what an incredible resource this is.

I totally agree. I sell IT equipment for a living, and the employees in my role at work are supposed to have a basic knowledge of a broad spectrum of products. When we need more in-depth information for a client, we have engineers who are experts on a single particular category of products. The job title for these engineers is "ISA." These people know everything there is to know about what's in their area, and regularly have conference calls with our client to help them figure stuff out.

Because of ECF, one of my coworkers yesterday referred to me as our "vapor ISA."

I talk about vaping a lot. Sometimes I think that other people feel like I talk too much!!! I can get on a roll and have a hard time keeping things brief, especially when I am introducing a smoker to vaping. All the vaping stuff I know is from ECF, so therefore, ECF is turning me into a blabbermouth!!!

I seem to have vape mail today too. Rebuilding stuff, Kanthal and Ekowool. Hopefully there will be enough that it won't fit in the box and he will bring it up the hill to me. I managed to get through the sale weekend without buying anything other than the rebuilding stuff so am saving up for the 4th of July sales :)

Uncle I know where you are coming from....I completely understand that you also did not ask to be put in that situation and I am sorry about that.....I prefer to go pick up mine early in the morning or later in the evening for the same reasons(3 residence in particular hover for hours, talking, waiting & watching)....I also like it when I get too many vapemail packages that they don't fit in the box and he has to come up to the door, knock and places them there on the floor.....I have 1 vapemail arriving today...but there maybe other items(may or may not be vape related) ordered at the beginning of the month also.....
