07/12 Entry . . .

Hey - "Noble Gas" - I bet that I got Ya' beat . . .

Long story short, even though I have already posted about it in a couple of places . . . I just learned that the management company where I live has not only instituted a "Smoke Free" policy in the apartment complex as of July 1st they have also snuck in a clause and included in the new House rules a ban on any use of "ecig" in apartments and anywhere on the property where I live . . .

I did see you mention this in another thread, Uncle. That is just messed up, and I feel awful about it. However, it seems to me that if you didn't sign an agreement not to vape in your place on your original lease, you cannot be bound by this new rule, since vaping in a private residence is not against any law in the US. Have you tried talking to the building owner and pointing out the benefits of allowing and even encouraging people to vape instead of smoke? Since vapor evaporates into the air it won't stain walls or furniture, and a properly cared for battery is far safer than a lit cigarette. They should even offer a rent reduction for those who vape, instead of trying to punish people for making healthier, safer and cleaner choices. If you're unsure about talking to the owner, see if there's an organization like a tenant's union or your city's rent board, and ask them the legal ramifications of this new 'rule' before approaching the owner. Frankly, it's unconstitutional and may be grounds for a lawsuit. Best of luck to you!

In most States, they can IF they make you sign another lease when you renew. If you are still in the contract period, they cannot make you sign a new one, or change the rules like this. Of course, if you dont agree, they dont have to renew when the time comes either... catch 22.

The 15th is nigh!!! Getting SOOO excited! I really want to win some juice and let my wife pick something that'll hopefully help her jump fully into vaping (she stinks after coming back in from the garage where she smokes....shhh!)!!

Vaping..what's NOT to like? Awesome flavors, seemingly endless delivery devices or any shape, size, power, or level of involvement necessary. Considerably healthier alternative not only for you, but also those loved ones around you that didn't choose an unhealthy habit/addiction. Best of all....ECF and the vaping community as a whole!! Never have I seen a more friendly, helpful, diverse and hilarious forum nor community to get involved in!!! Haven't logged onto Facebook in ~5 months and realize that I'm not missing all the middle-of-the-night Walmart and Waffle House check-ins NOR all the pics of everyone's kids, drinks and food!!

Did I mention that I love my ECF peeps?

Oh how correct you are...

Carolina... know the feeling. It just seems that it is my vape budget that gets hit first when something unexpected comes up My one and only TV died last night. Tried replacing the bulb but it isn't that. Hubby away for at least another week but want to see if he can fix it before buying a new one.

I am waiting on vape mail too. Not sure when it will get here but it may be waiting on me now. Ordered hubby an E-LVT because he has been using the 2200 mah ego batteries and manages to tear them up in a week or less and figured would be cheaper this way than constantly replacing those others.

Hate to hear that. Hopefully it will be an easy and cheap fix. Our fridge has been on the blitz for about a month now. We have just been keeping our fingers crossed it doesn't stop working anytime soon. Good thing is we have a chest freezer so we moved all the frozen stuff to it. At least now if it goes out we will not loose all the frozen stuff.

I hope so too. My guys are wizards with electronics but some things I think they make so they aren't repairable... bless their hearts!

When I moved back east from Alaska, had to leave most stuff behind because shipping was a killer. My house is pretty much furnished from Craigslist. Actually can't think of anything I bought new except a couple sets of sheets to use until the stuff actually got here from AK. I had brought the aerobeds and comforters but forgot sheets :D

I am hoping for vapemail tomorrow. Nothing earth shaking... batteries for whatever it is my son is building. Will quiet him for awhile :)

I have started exploring the bacco flavors and never thought I would... but finding a few that I actually like......a lot... a blueberry one that I can't seem to put down but should since only half a bottle left and I should save for special occasions but just can't seem to put it down LOL

Funny thing is I have talked to the Management Company about "eCig's" and they already knew I use an ecig/vape in "My" apartment, ever since they accused "Me" of smoking inside - They even asked "Me" at one time to talk to other tenants when I moved in and started using them . . .

AND - BTW: I used to work at a JOB organizing Tenants when I lived up North . . . Matter of fact, I and "My" Team - with HUD's Approval - even use to help organized HUD Tenants to form Tenants Associations to fight for their rights too . . . BUT - No matter what I do - I just cannot get the people here to get involved because they are so Intimidated/Brainwashed by the management company and afraid . . . (See this post here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-multiple-winners-winners-7.html#post13621780 ). . . I hope that will explain the situation about what has been happening just a little more . . . So I do not know what will happen yet, until I speak with an Attorney (that is when I get back to Florida next week) . . .

YEP . . . ;) However, I never sign that I accept the rule changes when they have been revised mid-stream of a lease which gets them upset, but they have renewed anyway . . . Just Sayin' . . .

Uncle, it sounds like you know what you're doing and have a good plan, and I wish you success. Property management companies can be, at least in my experience, very intimidating and ruthless. The building where I live changes their management company every few years because the owner winds up getting so many complaints about their behavior and attitudes towards the tenants, which always reminds me not to take them too seriously as they are just a hired service and can easily lose their contract with the owner. Anyway I hope it all works out for the best, for you and your fellow tenants.
The people who spread lies about vaping and e-cigs are turning decent folks trying to make healthier choices into pariahs, and that is just shameful.

I agree with what Noble Gas said. The press is even more to blame than the politicians, since they are the ones who spread the lies that everyone believes.

Everything about vaping ROCKS!! :headbang: Well......except for the shinyitis "Ooooh, I just have to get that!!! I especially enjoy when people approach and ask "Hey man, what's that thing?" and I have yet another opportunity to possibly help someone live a healthier life and really enjoy it in the process. Also, always fun to be at a red light vaping away and see another person doing the same. You have a short smile-moment like bikers have with the low-hand wave as they pass one another. Loving vaping and helping others discover it....13 converts from coffin nails and counting!

PS. That Spire Mod is WICKED looking!!
