I'm sorry.

As I said, Boars Head new yorker.

Real cheese.

If it's not processed and added emulsifiers it's NOT American cheese.
That's sort of the definition that makes it that.

Not singles which are disgusting concoctions of oils and... something.

I wasn't talking about substitutes. But the Cheddar blend with emulsifiers that make it soft and melt and not separate like "real" cheese.

2) Might want to check your shredded cheese package for the ingredient cellulose. They grind up tree bark and put it in the cheese during processing so the shreds don't clump back together in the bag.

I shred my own cheese when I want shredded, from a sold block.

Sloth is our very own Rayonati Sloth. He posted the video, again, just this afternoon. It's a page back, immediately preceding my "maintenance" post. :)

Thank you. My tapaterrible didn't show that on the slow internets and wife's and gigabits and whatnot. I'll look now. I'm always looking forward to learning what works for others.

The upside of only having one eye is you only have to bury half your head to drown out your pops overly lit room. :)

There's an awful lot of wheeing and whaaing going on around that area filled with face.

Man I love her way too much. Waayyyyyyyy too much.

As one who has spent quite a bit of time in Philly ( specifically New Town Square) and has pulled more than one cheesesteak tour, the best cheesesteak in Philly is the last place you had a cheesesteak in Philly. With that being said, there is more than one place that stands out for me. Sonny's, Dalessandro's and John's Roast Pork just to name a few. You Philly guys may turn your nose up at it, but Whiz ain't all that bad either.

Rita's Water Ice on a hot day, man that's living. ;)

No.

Its a philly tourist site.

And it's completely wrong.

Unless you only know Tony Luke's, Geno's and Pat's.

I delivered ingredients to these places.

Rib-eye? Outside of Tony Luke's, good luck with that!

It's chip steak. Knuckle meat.

The cheese of choice?

Go into any and every neighborhood deli or pizza shop and order without specifying.

Keep a tally.

I'll bet my children less than 5% even ask if you'd like something other than American.

I've eaten cheese steaks in every neighborhood of that city.

There's 2 actual Philadelphians here.

Both agree.

Nobody else with an opinion or argument even understands slightly.

You visited as a quasi-tourist.

The others are giving second hand opinions.

Tapatyped

Yup, and one of them worked his way through college in the late 1970s in one of those neighborhood pizza, steak, and hoagie shops. I've probably made more cheese steaks than any of you guys have eaten in your entire lives. Hoagies and pizzas too. Wiz was not an option. American was standard, but you could substitute provolone if that's what you wanted. Hardly anyone did.

As a relatively poor college student, I ate there every night I worked there (typically 3-4 nights a week). The boss' policy was: If you're hungry, make yourself something to eat when things were quiet. In other words, free food. For the better part of a decade afterwards, I wanted no parts of any such food, although I eventually got over it.

Cheesesteak snobs...

Sorry, no CC in this vid :( the juice is a special juice so I keep it in my most special mod (my woodvil, gifted to me by the lovely Echidna Goddess--the only reason it's such a special mod--I'm really a metal lover as you know)

So I dunno why I'm posting it here, but, I'm a shameless self promoter so...:spam:

I have wanted to try these since Rosanne Barr opened a loose meat cafe in her sitcom.

I just took a while to consider it :?:

Simultaneously disgusting and wonderful. I googled recipes.
I'm at a loss as to what that is...

And I don't care what technique you use, Vegemite (and all the similar mites) sucks.

loose meat sandwich

apparently an Iowa thing. I did season mine, which is reportedly contentious

After a bit of looking. A crumbled burger instead of a solid patty.

I'd rather a Sloppy Joe.

But I'll take pulled pork for "loose meat" instead.
