YIKES!!! ...and very cool.
That had to have a few (thousand) frustrating moments in building.
Any chance you could throw together at least a text version of the build steps? Especially the button and charging connection - neat that you created a customer one for it.
It was not too frustrating to build, but having a hot knife to cut out the inside is a must. There is a post on my BiC lighter under experments with equipment that tells about it. On the charger it was a RN 4081 i took an atty apart to make the extension and soldered it on the charger then some hot glue to hold it in place. I am not good with words but i will post all the steps on building the BiC mod soon.

Yes please squeeze - please post a description of this BiC mod. I tried something very similar several months ago (having completely removed the plastic center part) - but the two 10440 batteries would not fit into the body of the lighter. In fact they would go in but only if I really rammed them hard (with no chance of ever getting them out again). So I am keen to learn how you did it.

Squeeze, more info would be grand, and a link to what you mentioned in the experiments to please. Glad to see you found this slopes, just what you were going for. If 2 10440's will fit and provide more battery life, one 10440 and a recessed atty with just a drip tip exposed would be a nice stealthy PV too. I wouldn't like the batteries, but I still like this project.

You could do that but you would have to grined off some of the lip on the atty connector to make it fit down inside the lighter.

Well if you were to check your freshly charged eGo batt under load, the meter would see it as about 3.2V. It's circuitry has a rudimentary version of PWM which acts as sort of regulator. No heavy first hit or dying middle hit. It also appears that it's design, with the cone increases the actual heat of the vapor (as does restricting air-flow). The heat of the vapor isn't just watts related.

Most folks will notice the first hits off an unfettered 14500 (about the same mAh) as more intense than an eGo, but 3 hours down the line they can also sense the voltage dropping. At the 3 hour mark the eGo's vape is pretty much unchanged.
