Another Hammond 1590G. Been planning this one since I finished my first one. Wouldn't have gotten it done without some great ideas and sourcing help from a fellow vaper .

Still have to set the window, gonna use jewelry resin, and glue in a screw head. Hand filed the sides square. Dont really want to think about how many hours I spent on it...

takes up to a 22mm tank

pretty rugged interior, used silicone jacketed wire, screws and lock nuts to mount the aluminum angle stock for the connector base and extreme hold double sided exterior tape to secure the board and screen.

I get mine at http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/1590G/HM841-ND/409858 they have painted ones too, but the sides have a slight angle to them so I like to file them to square. Not completely necessary though.

The door can be a pain to work with as far as cutting out the window is concerned, for my first DNA 20 mod I used a piece of Plexiglas as a replacement door.

I'd recommend getting a couple of boxes, die cast aluminum can cake and tear when its worked, so I always drill in increments and finish holes with a hand reamer or file.

Good luck!

round 2 with the jewelry resin is a failure so far.

let it cure for 24 hours and it still a little rubbery, think the base/hardner ratio was off by a little.

going kayaking today so I'm gonna let it sit in the window sill and see what happens, if it doesn't cure I'll use pipettes to measure out the components instead of the provided measuring cups

What kind of resin are you using?

I'm using Envirotex by Environmental Technology Jewelry Resin | Shop Hobby Lobby, and the third time was a charm.

You have to be exact with the mixing ratio, and use a plastic jewelry mold as a form for the back side of the window (resin wont bond to the plastic but bonds to EVERYTHING else). On the backside of the finished window there is a little bit of graining from the form, but you have to really look for it to notice.

D9....will the resin stick to glass? I was wondering if you could clamp a piece of glass to the face and fill from the back.
