Screw posts are problematic, top fill works good though.

Box looks the same. The V5 BIG is slightly taller and has one more groove.

Stuff that came with it, I like the tall drip tips they give a cooler vape but these only have one oring I like the ones that have two.

Glass if the same, orings for the glass are the same, chimney top is the same but the chimney bottom is a tad bit shorter.

Top fill, the big hole works good with a drip tip bottle the small hole is for an air vent. Still a good idea to cut off the AFC and tilt when filling though.

No fill screw on bottom and copper adjustable center pin is a regular instead of Phillips.

The problem is the posts. The holes are so deep that the screws cut the wire off.

So no problem just unscrew the posts and put screws in right?

Ah nope! The ground post is pressed in not like the V4 BIG Fogger that were screwed. Finally resorted to putting a small nibble off 2mm aluminum rod in the bottom of both posts so it wouldn't cut the wire.

Decks look the same. AFC ring has a rubber plug to help hold it in place. Air holes on deck and sides are very slightly larger.

30 gauge Ni200 build. After this one I went with 10 wraps each coil for a combined resistance of .14 ohms. Used an ~4mm mandrel.

Sits on an XPV40 and sustains 24W just like the V4 BIG did.

The AFC does obscure the side holes just like its older brother. You can leave the AFC off if you want but it does come in handy if nothing else for refilling, always a good idea to close the AFC on a top fill. What I do is screw the bottom glass retainer up so the AFC can screw up far enough to completely clear the side air holes then reassemble.

So pretty much like the V5 Fogger to the V4, the V5 BIG fogger offers top fill and binding posts but they will cut your wire unless you fill the bottom of the holes.

I don't like the ground post being a press fit. I like to take the post off and put a screw there especially when going with vertical coils. I will have to get a tap.
