Somewhere out there
Welcome!!!!!!!!! You found the right place. If you don't want to fiddle with charging batteries all the time, there are plenty of PV's out there to suit you. If you want a slim ecig that looks like a cigarette, then you will have to charge more. I have a GLV 2 Super Mini mod that I only change batts once a day, I love it, see my avatar, does not look like an cigarette. I also use Halo G6's, slim style looks like a cigarette but I need about 4 charged batts a day for that one. So I use my GLV the most now. bnrk

Yes, there are PV's that can keep up with your habit. Typically we tell people to get an Ego, but in your case your going to need a little bit more.

I suggest a KGO It is a 4Volt 1100 Mah set up, I own one I chain vapes it all day and it lasts me 10hrs. Also because it is a 4 volt device (Under load from SR cartos)
You get a lot more vapor and flavor.

Good luck, and welcome to the group

Aloha BB. Well you can try any big battery mod that takes an 18650 battery. It will last at east a day of heavy vaping. Some of them are the Silver bullet, bombshell, Reo grand. If you need a harder kick you van also rum these at 6v with stacked 3v cr123 batteries. If you are looking for economy vape, you can start with a box mod 3.7v or 5v. The 14500 aa style batteries do last pretty long also.

When looking at ecigs keep in mind 100mah is about 1 hour of moderate vaping with standard resistance atomizers or cartomizers (i.e. ones that are just warm, not hot. hotter LR stuff uses charge up faster and is not for use on slim ecigs)

tiny slim ecig 90mah
small slim ecig 180mah
medium slim ecig (120-128mm long) 280-320mah
extremely long slim ecig 350-380mah

fat battery models and most mods (Ego, Riva 510, Kgo, etc) 650mah+

I def wouldnt get a slim ecig then. I bigger batt PV will give you much better batterylife.
Id go with the E-Power, kGo, or a higher mah Riva. All three have a 510 connection so you can use alot of different attys/cartos and are 3.7V which work great on LR cartos/attys.
I have the E-Power and really like it. Its the only one out of the three that uses mpm-proprietary battteries. E-Power batts cost $4 compared to eGo/Riva/kGo batteries that are $14-20. I also wanted good battery life when I started and have found that its very easy to carry a spare E-Power battery so you never have to worry about running out of power.I get about a day to a day and a half on one battery, their 1050mah, and you get 2 with the kit. The E-Power battery is about the size of a AA but alittle longer. Since the kGo/Riva/eGos all use proprietary batteries to carry a spare battery, you basically have to carry a 2nd PV. Its not a huge deal but it depends what your doing. I found it much easier to just carry a spare E-Power battery and if needed just switch it and your good to go.Everything is replaceable on the E-Power too so it keeps costs down.
The kGo is also a nice 3.7V PV that has long battery life, 1100mah. They are proprietary batteries but you do get 2 with the kit. Many people like the kGo and most get at least a day on one battery.
The Rivas are popular and work great. The newer ones are 3.7V. They have different size mah rivas and also have PTs which is a nice option.
All three are great PVs and I think would give you what your looking for.
Their all fairly inexpensive and work very well

I dont know much about the kgo but I have an ego and was a 2 pad smoker. I would recomend getting the highest mah you can find. the higher the mah the longer it will last between charges. also passthrough option is nice bc you can charge and vape at the same time. I have never needed it but it is nice to know I can. the ego has a vv you can get here is a link for it

VariVolt looks like the black 900 ma usb is the variable volt passthrough and the most mah. I plan on ordering some myself soon since I like the vv option.

Welcome! :)

I see an 18650 mod and a tank in your future. There is an 18650 battery with 2900mAh, that's pretty much all I can see keeping up with a 3 PAD habit.

You might look at this: VaporLuxe Rev.2 - Silver with one of these: HV Chibi Tank Mod (boge 3.0) :) There are other options too...but that would pretty much do it and the mod has a built in charger, works as a passthrough (vape plugged in) and has a 2600mAh in it.

I have had from the worst to the best in e-cigs and have been vaping for around three years (disposables, generic cheapys, screwdriver mk1, ego-t, go-go, provari ...). I always seemed to go back to analogues at some point, but since buying the ProVari and having to justify the spend in analogue savings the final transition has been made. Down from 20 a day to maybe 1 every three days. The new toy and supplies will be paid off in less than two months and every day I feel less of a need to pick up a toxic log. I guess what I am trying to say is spend your cash on the best equipment you can afford, buy a high maH device and have a bag of willpower to see it through. My advice is to try get a battery mod setup and keep one battery in use, one as a spare and one on charge. My setup lasts almost two days on a 2500maH good quality battery, so even if you a vape excessively a full day should be no problem.

I was a 3 pack a day smoker. I did a lot of research and started with an ego T setup with the 1000 mah batteries. I've been very happy with that. I don't have a passthrough, and would probably get one if I wasn't going to get a high end mod. (Buzz Pro, for the variable voltage.) I also suspect that I would have been happy with any of the eGo clones that had a similar battery size.

I don't like having to refill juice all the time, so I started using EMDCC's, which are really big cartomizers. Since they are large, I only have to refill once a day or so. The only real downside to them I've found is also due to the size. They aren't a good way to try a new flavor, for instance. I don't want to fill an EMDCC with a new flavor only to find out I don't like it. Similarly, some people like to change flavors a lot, and an EMDCC probably wouldn't work as well for them. Me, I use the same flavor all day.

For taste testing or just a quick flavor change, I use an atomizer and drip tip. That would drive me crazy to try and do it all day long, but it's fine for a few vapes here and there.

Linky to the EMDCC's. I like the flat tips, but I'd recommend anyone trying these start with at least one flat and one round so you can decide for yourself.
eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer

Good luck.

Bigbob61, have you tried vaping yet? The reason I ask is that once you have selected some hardware the next challenge will be getting the liquid (flavor) and nic level right. I think this might be a bigger challenge than the hardware.

I was a 2 PAD (pack a day) smoker and was able to use 18mg nic content. Some people need more in order to feel satisfied. There is no way for any of us here to know what will keep you happy since this is dependent on how you smoke/inhale cigarettes. Just be prepared to futz around a little bit with this if necessary. Some people use different nic levels throughout the day for example.

Hope this helps, good luck and all

Definately want to have at least a 900Mah or higher battery. That was my concern when starting vaping. Cheap gas station $15 (Mistic battery, cart, and charger) had a way better battery life than the $70 Blu. Stay away from Blu!!!!

Juices/Flavor is gonna be hit and miss for a while. I have only ordered 2 juices so far. Best bet is to check out a few vendors and order the small sample packs from them till you find something you like. Better to spend $30 looking for something you like than spend $30 on a big bottle of something that tastes like poo.

Also vaping might help you quit smoking, at least not right away. But after you get a PV you will notice that you're buying less and less analogs. Even if you go from a pack a day down to a pack a week or a pack a month it is a step in the right direction :)

I'm still new to vaping, not a complete n00b but no where near as knowledgeable as the other folks here. I did come across this 6 part post that helped clear a few thins up for me. Helped explain things and had some info I still was wondering about.
