What is the top of the line 18650 battery charger out there right now? I'm getting a little tired of not having any readouts, save for a red, or green light. To indicate charged, or still charging. And the batteries take about 5-7 hours to charge. What's up with that? Isn't there a charger out there that will charge the 18650 in a shorter time? Which is the very best battery charger out there?

efest luc, tells you what volts its at... gives you a digital display... only thing its missing is showing the internal mah of the battery... (not sure if this is possible) but i treads the volts, ahs a nice little battery bar read out and you can set it to charge at .5 or 1, there is a 2 option but that is only for 26650 according to the manual

Xtar has made some serious inroads towards chargers that compete neck and neck with pila for the best charger that treats your batteries best. However, the wp line that first really started competing with pila has a similar color led indicator for charging vs full (essentially). The new hot rod, the vp1 has a numerical readout for current voltage. While I didn't opt for that one ( I wanted the 4 bays of Xp4) if what you want is to know the status of your batteries, it doesn't get any better than that.

All those other charger are very good but I'm using the Nitecore Intellicharge i4 and couldn't be happier when I first got it I was really surprised how fast it charged 1 18650 in just a couple of hours if you charge 2 it'll take a little longer but it's fast and for 16 dollars and change it's a good price I paid 20 something for mine .

it's gross overkill by leaps and bounds for vaping, but you asked for it... Revolectrix
I've been thinking about repurposing a charger I have for my remote control stuff for vaping batts myself. It'd be easy enough to do an AS LONG AS I UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM DOING I see no problem with it.
