How do you do it, just through the center post and one of the side

Exactly the same as a dual coil. You just use one side of the deck (the bottom of the rda where the posts are) so choose middle and right posts or middle and left posts. If you had it setup as a dual coil you would just take one coil out and that's what a single coil in a dual coil deck looks like.. (but would need a new coil most likely due to the ohm value changing from taking out one coil)

Here is an older pic with one off my first coil.
(its sorta oogily but you will get the idea)

That coil is way too close to the right post. What you want is the leg on the far post to be longer to center the coil..., oh heck might as well snap a pic (the wick ain't perfect bc I couldn't find scissors and had to use a razor blade)

And that coil is old and far from perfect but works good nonetheless
