That's what I'm trying to figure out. I have seen some batteries that say the have the circuit, and then some that are listed as ICR but make no mention of having a protective circuit?

ICR batteries come with and without protective circuits. The difference between IMR and ICR is that IMR use a safer chemistry than ICR (seeing as IMR are LiMn and ICR are LiCoO2). Also IMR batteries are high drain, capable of handling more amps and delivering more power which is definitely needed the higher wattage you go (or the lower ohms you build).

The only batteries I have ever had are IMR of which the sony's are also.

IMR's are unprotected.

I ordered my Custard Assault right after it was released and my expected delivery to Michigan isn't until Monday. It did get sucked into the Opa Locka black hole for a while, though. :glare:

Mine is coming to Ca, it hit Opa Locka, but shot right though it. It did however leave Richmond Ca yesterday, (three hours away) and it's still in the air or maybe somebody is walking it to my place from Richmond.

You shouldn't get yours before me. At least you better not! :glare:

Thanks JC. How's the response to the new releases?
