I received a regular sized chrome manual with a black (rubber?) button. At first, I liked it. However the button started getting stuck under the battery at the top. You have to hit it right in the center. Don't care for it myself.
I ordered the exact same battery on 10/16, when did you?
I too am finding the rubber button a little sticky.
I like the classy gold look of the other button, it matches the logo too.
I like my gold manual with gold button better too. I like that the button is the same color as the battery.
Yes, I am having similar issues.... I had ordered 2 "new" XL batteries with the black rubber buttons.... I find those batteries to be very "blink" happy.... The cut off (to me at least) seems to be shorter than my other XL's that I have, does not seem to hit as hard and the "cool off" (time in between vaping... meaning... a fully charged battery starts blinking; hits the cut off & you have to wait a while to vape again) time as you put it... I have not experienced that with my other XL batteries.
My battery had a long cool-off period too - did not like that at all.
OK My good XL with the gold button is dying. It is getting hard to push the button. Is there any way to purchase more? I really don't like my black button one.
Not only do I have issues with the drag time but it does not make that sizzle sound when I inhale and I don't get much flavor from my carts. I don't care which color I buy...I just want to know if there are any gold button XL's still available to purchase. And if so can I just specify that on the order comments ?
I was wondering about the loss of flavor too. Didn't matter if they were CoolCarts or Wow carts. Definitely specify which button you want in the comments.
I have to agree as I have just received a regular chrome manual battery today. This battery has the black button and is FAR from a 13 second cutoff. It is more like 5-8 sec and then 8 blinks and it will not activate for 10 seconds. I have been so frustrated with inconsistent auto batteries that I have only been ordering manuals for some time. I sometimes wish V4L would stick to what works. I have also noticed lees hitting power and the center post is recessed quite a bit. I have tried prying it up, but as soon as you screw a carto on it goes back to how it was. I am so mad about poor battery performance as of late I have started researching mods. I have been a loyal V4L customer for over a year and their customer service is great (replacements), but a lot of the time you get a replacement its as bad as the original problem. There are so many issues lately, (Carto fix), (sand battery threads), (poor batteries), it seems they need some quality control. I have now become somewhat reluctant to recommend V4L to friends and family because to a newbie this would turn them off and become difficult.
I too have been a loyal V4L customer, and they replaced my battery with another one that didn't measure up either but they are sending out another replacement. They will make it right, as they always have because they know how important customer service is, especially to a growing business.

Some vendors concentrate on sales over service, and other vendors concentrate on service over sales. The former has a "slam, bam, thank you ma'am" mindset and does not get my business. The latter is looking for a long-term relationship and does get my business!
