I think I got the wick length right but the channels are huge. I have the wick sitting in the vertical channels and it works.Cant topfill without leaking, and filling from the bottom is almost impossible. Filling from the bottom with a syringe is almost useless. I had to put a drop in at a time and suck through the drip tip so the juice would fill the tank. Pain in the .... Anyone have one of the black ones and figured it out?

Top filling is not advised.
Bottom Filling should NOT be a problem, but it sounds like you placed your wicks into the channels. This would effectively cut off air passage and not allow the tank to purge out the air. (Make sense?)
The wicks should only reach and lay on the Deck at the top of the channels.

Can't see any reason it will not work.
While rebuilding - Install the chimney and then Look at the Fill Hole location.
Is it partially or mostly obscured by the Chimney? If not, filling should be simple.

I cut my wick like yours and it filled perfectly, but the hits are a bit dry. Should I use more wick? Like in the svoemesto diagram?
Now its leaking out the airhole. I cant win with this thing.I'm gonna try the svoemesto wicking.Now I cant get my juice out of the tank cause the chimney unscrews and stays stuck to the top cap. Poor design .... product. ...

All fixed now. added more wick, didnt block the channels, went svoevesto mode and all is well.

Its back to leaking and or dry hits, I'm sending it back. I wouldn't recommend the black Russian 91% with the deep channels to anyone. I'm getting the kayfun light v2 1.1. Fingers crossed,
If you can - Get the EHPRO Kayfun clones - They really work well, I got one and love it.
just ordered a kfl v2 version 1.1 from slowtech. I hope it works out. I'd rather buy stateside but I just lost my house I don't have a pot to piss in.
