ive never had this with the ruyan..did you use the blings carts or have you been mixing?
just the ruyan carts m8ty. It hasnt been as bad as the pen mind you , but the specs are still there. I'll get a pic nxt time.

I also noticed that there is no spec on the outside of the cart , just on the filling that touches the atomizer bridge so i'm sure its a physical cross contamination and not an airborne one.

air isnt drawn thru u the cart wool it goes up the little flutes on the outside of the wool container.. the specks have to come from the dripping liquid or the wire wool as it touches the cart wool..

i dont think they will get into the lungs and i aint overly surprised such things can be seen if one looks cllose enough.. the lungs are self cleaning organs contaminants are being removed from them all the time.. if this wasnt the case they would fill up vacuum cleaner bags..

i didnt misread i was talking to general thread readers.. u start the thread others join and make comments.. he he

but either way i dont think the little black bits are gonna get sucked up into yer lungs.. the ones stuck in the wet wool or any others.. an e cig works like a filter any junk is gonna stay in it.. the sticky wet factor sees to that..

folks talk about kettles.. what they forget is what they are looking at stays in the kettle it dont come out with the steam..

Crud likes to build up around the atomizer especially after a automated cleaning process. Regular washing should stop this from happening so much. I use warm water in a ultrasonic cleaner I got off of amazon for 30 bucks. I've had my generic 4072's for weeks now they both work like champs and I've been regularly cleaning them. I let one go for a little too long (after the automated cleaning process) without an ultrasonic cleaning and it made black specs but not so extreme as the pictures here. after a cleaning the bad taste goes away and the black specs stopped. Maintenance is the key, tweezers are your friend. ;)

Whats your cleaning cycle like? I like to blow mine out with some paper inside of it and then put it in the ultrasonic for 3 minutes in warm water. I try to do this often, once every few days. Really helps these generics last last last.

Also, cleaning them right out of the box helps. Factories are dirty places don't take any chances.

Just my 2 cents, hope this helps.

i understand where your coming from but there is know need to clean an atomizer thats a week old.
blowing through the battery end has made no difference this hasnt happened before and ive been through my fair share or these bad boys..there no dirt in the ceramic pot its something to do with the wick or the burning process..
i thinks there's a couple of bad batches that have passed through quality control..if they have one hehe.

there is no need to clean an atomizer that's a week old

These new generics (RN4072-5) are powerful, they pack a punch. It may be necessary to clean them more often. Just my opinion. There is nothing like an atomizer fresh out of the ultrasonic, smooth draw and taste. I do it often.

I remember seeing a post somewhere of someone who disassembled there atomizer after long usage. This thick black crud like substance came out of it. I wish I could find that post again...

More experimentation must be done! 8-o I hope you get to the bottom of this Kit. Best of luck. :thumb:
