I've seen a few photos of GGs with these ribbed black covers over the recessed parts of the telescope. Can someone please let me in as to what those are and where I can acquire them?

Believe it or not, those are o-rings stacked up. I do not recall the correct size of the o-ring though.
no way! that's actually brilliant! Gotta find the correct size and order a big bag of them.
I use 18mmx2mm because the widest part sits just a tiny but above the top and bottom tube bute 18x1.5mm 17x2 and 17x1.5 all work fairly well. Picked them all up at Ace Hardware. If I recall correctly Silentt recommends 17x1.5
If you go on Amazon, you can buy a big red box of assorted Orings for 7 bucks and change. They come in very handy
Get a few kitss off of a $1 shop...those kits are usefull 
Lost my ody top seal in the drain while cleaning it (brain fart) and it appeared that I had 3 nice orange ones as spares.
The kits usually have like 5 big enough to cover the tele and 5 for your garden hose as well
Must be like 50 o-rings in that kit for $1.25

...and I use 1 thin 0.75'' to seal the space between the collector cup top cap of my GGTS and the ody to keep full air adjustment and stabilise the lot!

Sorry that the photo isn't the best, but I just threw 2 of the 2nd biggest UFS o-rings onto my ss stealth adapter and it looks pretty clean! Also fits on telescope. That's a 5v mod batt btw
I just caught the wording "THATS A 5V MOD BTT BTW"..... What batt is it then please Rwechsler???

I was always considering buying one of those metric kits, but I couldn't get an exact list of what O'rings came with it. Will most of the GGTS and UFS O'rings be in those kits?
I have these on my GGTS...I *believe* it is a #87 Danco O-ring, found in any large home improvement store. I'm using an 18650 battery, so it took 8 of the o-rings to fill the gap. Hope that helps!
